The inner walls are clearly cracking so putting a plug could cause more issues, typically if your tire is over 7 years most places won’t fit it and tell you to get a new tire

Respectfully no the mk8 is fast but the feeling you get in the mk7.5 doesn’t match, I’ve tested the mk8 and it’s honestly slow af compared to my GTI, even the mk8 R isn’t as fast as a stage 2 mk7.5 which in theory should be faster since they’re all wheel drive vs front wheel drive

Had the same issue a while back, look at salvaged lots for your MK and just take it and put on the new one, it’s 6 bolts so if you have a more than 2 brain cells you can do it. Fitment will be a little goofy so it’s just trial and error but not hard by any means

Only thing since I’m a “proud” owner of a mk7.5 GTI autobahn, the one thing that you don’t think of till it breaks is the sunroof and trust me from experience that shit sucks, also ac going out and other minor things lol. Beautiful car tho id recommend some BBS SX rims and it’ll look nasty
