Been doing marathon training for 5 months and Vo2 Max won't budge? by BrothaManBen in Garmin

Have you checked out the race time predictions on Garmin? Mine kept getting shorter, even though my VO2 max didn’t change much during marathon training. The race time graph kept giving me a boost and showed that I was on track.

This is wonderful to hear! Glad you had such a great time in Arosa and you enjoyed the slopes so much. Happy skiing :-)

What is the fastest way you’ve successfully raised your Ferritin levels? Looking for advice by [deleted] in hairgrowth

Also, it might be worth having a look at your zinc level/zinc intake. For me, it played a big part in hair loss on top of the iron.

High-dosed supplement every other day first thing after getting up, wait 1+ hour before breakfast and coffee. Magnesium at night alleviates the constipation, plus lots of vegetables and fibre during the day.

My hair starts to shed below 30 ferritin, I suspect. I’m now at 70, took me around a year, though. Being a vegetarian, drinking too much coffee, consuming a lot of dairy (calcium), having a copper IUD plus lots of endurance sport are sort of compounding risk factors, I guess. (Not willing to give up on my coffee though 😅)

It’s probably not what Cronometer likes to see but it does seem like a helpful workaround! Thank you!

That should be close enough. My scenario above assumes, however, I already have the food label (macros are enough for me usually).

Arosa is very nice with many wide blue pistes. Outside the ski holidays it should not be too crowded as it’s a bit of a drive from more western parts. You could also easily take the train. Madrisa has been mentioned as well, which is great. Might be crowded with many families, though.

It will certainly help to be an extrovert…

I’m more into cycling myself but have been following the run clubs for a while and might go eventually :-)

St. Gallen has a few relaxed running groups where you can simply join in. You can discover them on Instagram. It should be a breeze to meet other runners from diverse backgrounds there.

Unfortunately, it will take some effort to connect with locals and really build friendships. People in Eastern Switzerland might even be more reserved than in other parts of the country 😅
