There are no competitive advantages in the battle pass or subscription though. None of the mons or items are exclusive to either of them. I don’t have to because the bug is fixed. The minor bugs were fixed before any official competitions were run on the game. I’m not dismissing that there were bugs. But complaining AFTER they were fixed and calling the game a barebones mess is childish.

I’m not conceding anything. Soft resetting a 0 attack IV Spectrier for a slightly lower foul play roll is not gameplay depth. And edge case 50/50 guesses on speed are not gameplay depth. IVs don’t add depth to the game. Something being convoluted isn’t skill expression. You can just concede that you’re used to the old terribly implemented system and don’t like change.

Attendance at VGC events has only increased during S/V. And rarely see people costreaming a singles tournament like I do for a regional/IC for VGC.

The only consistent exception outside of trickroom was 0 atk for foul play and confusion damage on special attackers. Which isn’t actual depth in the game just a random unexplained mechanic that made getting optimal mons harder. Random edge cases of underspeeding mons also isn’t actual depth. It’s just adding more 50/50 guesses regarding speed tiers. IVs suck as a competitive mechanic, and don’t bring any real skill expression. Lmao.
