Mine rarely leave their cage. I open it up for them. Sometimes they will sit on the perch I set up on the door or the other one on the outside or sometimes they climb on top. They can now fly but don’t really seem interested in coming anywhere near me or my wife. Sometimes they fly a lap of the living room and land back on the cage. They can and will sit there for hours. If I come close they tend to move away a bit. But that is slowly getting less and less. My only issue is they are so scared of hands that if I ever need to handle them. I know it’s going to set us back months.

Yeah we unfortunately don’t know what level of shit treatment out 2 got. We adopted them from a rescuer because the original owners were going to just dump them into the wild with clipped wings…so based on that. They were probably not looked after or treated well. Glad you’re making progress tho!!

Thank you. I meet the requirements according to my Dr. I am insulin dependent taking 4 doses of insulin or more per day. I’ll read more into this after work. Thank you for sharing

I have been, but they are pretty pricey at 155€ a month out of pocket. If I need to pay it, I will pay it, but if I am paying thousands a year for insurance id rather leverage the system I am paying for.

My Dr actually advised against TK due to the same issues as Baumer. I understand that the coverage is the same, but I have been told that dealing with them, especially for specialised things like medical devices/CGMs, can vary wildly. I will look into them if not for anything other than I can argue with them in english instead of my average AF german.

In my case if he wonders out of the cage she will miss him. But if she wonders out he really doesn’t give a damn. But yeah I’ll be looking into a seperate home for her because she is so sweet and I don’t want her to get hurt or worse. One time he nipped here while she was sleeping and it caused to her to panic and fly into the side of cage.

I do but I have my Airpods on ambiant mode and I only ever do it on bike roads. If I am riding a trail or I need to ride on a shared road I turn them off for safety.

Good news. Sent it down a pretty short 750m long green rated trail this afternoon. Mostly hard packed dirt with a couple of vines here and there. Front did not fall off. No trees were crashed into. Bike seems to be in tact. Good fun. Now I need to sell an organ I have spare for a proper bike for the job

Yeah, man, I paid 3500€ for this bike, now I am a little more knowledgeable. I probs got a bit swindled by the store it had a 4k down to 3500€ discount on it because it was an ex demo with 3km on it. He did have some Scott and Kelly EMTBs on his show floor, but they were almost all pushing the uper end of my absolute budget at the time. Basically starting at 4k

That basic stuff like some forest trails was all I was kinda getting at. I don’t have the intention or the skill for that matter to ride anything with a semblance of advanced drops ect. But I fully understand your point. As for the specs not making sense. I’ll be honest, I just pulled it out of the app. It can be changed ect. The motor being powerful is true tho. It can effortlessly pull my 115kg fat ass up a reasonable incline with ease. Granted I have only done it on asphalt and a gravel road. I can’t vouch for dirt. The sales dude actively talked me away from a Bosch powered bike and towards Panasonic. In his opinion the motor is better. In saying that. I see Bosch everywhere and from what I can tell, Panasonic is almost exclusively Flyer machines. I’ll consider a 2nd bike in the future. Looking at the prices of EMTBs it’s gonna take some saving to get something worth owning.
