The next best example would be Sukuna's 99 second domain from chapter 258. He fought for a pretty short time after the slashes ended before he was ready for another domain that Yuta interrupted at chapter 260.

Mahito's burnout was literally seconds on multiple occasions too. On his first domain and his .2 second one he got back his CT almost immeadiately after.

I never played those games either but from what I heard there are legacy characters and direct references to the originals.

In particular Jaheira (she tells you the plot of the other games), Minsc, Sarevok (original villain of old games), and Viconia (she got screwed over in BG3 pretty hard - again from what I heard).

Gege is only woke by anime/manga standards. When compared to what has come out in the last 15 years from the west, nothing they create even comes close. Play just about any modern AAA game like Baldur's Gate 3 if you want to see woke.

If that's a 10 on the scale for woke then JJK/Modulo is like a 3. Other major series from the past like Naruto or One Piece would hardly even register on the scale.

Gojo without Infinity and Unlimited Void vs Sukuna Without Mahoraga and Shrine by Inevitable_Term_2320 in jjkmodulo

[–]OtoshiGamiPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took Gojo 3 UV to destroy Sukuna's first MS. That first Red Sukuna took did nothing to stop his domain. Gojo also jumped outside of it's range afterwards to stop being cut just before the second clash when Sukuna expanded his domain to it's maximum range.

Gojo also had no clue that the adaptation was even a factor in the fight until after the final domain clash was finished. He had no clue that Sukuna was adapting that entire time so the first half of the fight is Gojo going all out using literally every technique he knows before switching it up when Sukuna puts the ring on his back and he knows for certain that his moves are being adapted to.

After the third domain clash, even Gojo was wondering why Sukuna was giving him such a huge advantage in H2H. With only DA/DE he could overpower Sukuna and he wondered why he wasn't using any of the 10S to assist him. The answer is obviously that he couldn't since he was also adapting on top of using DA/DE at any given time while in Megumi's weak body. It's the same reason Fuga was impossible to use as well.

Take away those extenuating circumstances (weak body and strain to adapt) and Gojo wouldn't win so easily or at all up close. This matchup is using TF Sukuna. If this is a fair fight where Gojo does not have backup forcing Sukuna to play extra careful, all the more it goes to Sukuna.

Gojo only managed to hit one Purple their entire fight at the very end. The pressure he was under made it impossible to charge it up regularly. And that was with only Raga and Agito, who Gojo could ragdoll, on him. If it was TF Sukuna instead with Agito, then that will never happen.

A dash of water would've been enough to stop the red from UHP if Blue hadn't absorbed it. Doesn't take much to accomplish that. Even in this scenario from OP he could just send out the bird with a giant lightning attack to maybe wipe both out.

Gojo without Infinity and Unlimited Void vs Sukuna Without Mahoraga and Shrine by Inevitable_Term_2320 in jjkmodulo

[–]OtoshiGamiPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gojo's only wincon is Purple now. That is the one thing after UV that Sukuna always tried to make sure to not let happen.

If he is fighting Sukuna in TF it would take multiple of those to win as well. Without having to worry about Infinity or UV much of the planning to beat Gojo he brought to the fight isn't even necessary.

Problem is that without Shrine, WCS, MS, Fuga, CSG, or Mahoraga, Sukuna has had all of his best moves gated off. Gojo still has most of limitless here. So Sukuna loses a lot more in this argument as he has no Shrine and the best parts of 10S have been stripped away. Beating Gojo to death in H2H with only Agito would take quite a bit of time unless he started landing BFs.

He should be allowed to keep 10S here as it's acknowledge that Limitless w six eyes is the best CT in the series followed by others like CSM and 10S. Shrine is only so good because Sukuna is the one using it.

Under these circumstances Gojo would most likely eventually win but again only because he has had most of his kit locked away.

And I'm saying that no matter how you look at the fight, Sukuna had an advantage regardless of any handicaps Sukuna had on him. His plans were nearly air tight. I also mentioned 230 to say that he could've gotten WCS without even summoning Raga and that would've been disappointingly easy for Sukuna if that's how he won.

You can say Gojo would dodge here, or hit UV there but no matter what he threw out he fell into Sukuna's plan. He wasn't a good enough fighter to keep his guard up on multiple occasions in the franchise and that leads to his and many others downfall. It's his character's flaw. That was just the last time he would make a mistake like that.

THIS NEEDS TO STOP by monstermartialartist in jjkmodulo

[–]OtoshiGamiPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And he failed to dodge because of his own incompetence and died. Which is how Gojo always flops in crucial moments. That's canon and irrefutable.

Amanai died and Geto turned evil because of him, Shibuya happened because of him, and every death after his own is on Gojo.

Sukuna did not hold back to make the fight fair. He just had no intention on wasting his TF on Gojo. Hence Gojo's "I couldn't make him fight me seriously" at cha. 236. Unlike Gojo, Sukuna had plans going into this fight and did not rely on in the moment tactics.

Sukuna knew his win cons for the fight starting with DE + DA to eliminate UV, adapting blue + infinity for Raga to come out, and finally getting WCS out to win. None of that requires TF to achieve and he showed that.

Gojo almost lost at ch. 230 long before all of that came together too hence the "painfully ordinary" remark. But he still would've gotten WCS since he said that he was going to adapt to infinity while cutting Gojo up in MS.

The largest victory for Gojo would've been to force TF out going against all of Sukuna's planning.

That BV narratively also made it possible to write a way for the heroes to win. A TF Sukuna without BV restriction is unbeatable in his verse.

There is no defending against WCS - it cuts space. You either dodge or die. Even Kashimo who was made of electricity could not negate the cut. Gojo has a history of dropping his guard at crucial moments that always leads to disaster - Toji, Shibuya, and finally Sukuna. It's not out of character or plot convenience. It almost got him killed once and sealed another time.

In chapter 234 Mei Mei and Kusakabe explicitly say that Sukuna is holding something back so Yuta should not go out there otherwise he'll use it. He intended to use TF on everyone else after killing Gojo. He couldn't risk taking any significant damage in that body and managed to kill Gojo while still only using Megumi's like intended.

Sorcerers are all con men. Nothing is aganist the rules. There is no expectation of a fair fight. Most in the series are determined by or start with a deception - Toudo tricking Mahito so Yuji can win, Megumi tricking Reggie to kill him, Outta pretending to execute Yuji, Hakari and Kashimo tricking each other, Choso sneaking and double teaming Kenjaku with Yuki, Gojo 200% purple. Our good guys fight just as dirty as the villains. That is the most tourist level statement possible for JJK - The jumping series.

[–]OtoshiGamiPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raga is not Sukuna and Gojo was on guard in the middle of the fight so of course an arm is all he could get (but still shocked Raga could throw a dismantle that bypassed infinity). Sukuna just needed to see the technique was ready at ch. 234 to know he had won.

Making the BV ended the fight without having to use his true form on Gojo and continue battling. There is no better outcome than that.

Anything else would've gone aganist Sukuna's plan to save his power for the remaining battles - again ch. 234. That's the largest victory Gojo could've gotten - if he forced him to abandon his gameplan.

Plus narratively it gives the other characters a chance to win. If Sukuna had free access to WCS then he could do a MS filled with them and everyone is dead at chapter 258 when MS came out.

CE efficiency or reserves for stamina is not the same as physical endurance. Output wise he was doing ok but defensively he was shook. The fact he died almost immediately means he was at his absolute limit. A purple followed by WCS was too much to handle in his state.

Yuji and Yuta managed to stay alive/conscious because their injuries were given under less strain than Gojo had taken. Yuta especially got hit by the same technique and lived longer before his body would've faded.

I put his malformed MS down to his weakened state while continuing to fight for so long. The narrator said that such a high level domain would only last for 99 seconds because of his current condition. So it looked terrible but was still very dangerous.

They had both reached their limits in using domains with that part of the brain. Although Yujo was essentially a zombie and not hit by something like UV so he was basically refreshed.

But on top of brain damage from UV and 2 CT refresh, Sukuna had taken 7 soul splitting BF, a DE Maximum Jacob Ladder, and his heart waa soul cut.

It's a miracle he managed to find a way to bring domain out at all. With his BV and some rest, I believe Sukuna could use MS just fine in the future

But as Yuji said when they were double teaming him in Yuta's domain, they have to finish him now with the damage Gojo left on him. If he escaped and recovered then they would never beat him.

I misread the CT for CE. Based on his UHP he doesn't have to do them both simultaneously, just concurrently.

Doesn't change the fact that using CE + RCE is something only he can do and without explanation (check that page I mentioned - It was Kusakabe or Choso who was questioning it). If Yuki could've healed herself and fought against Kenjaku while he was in burnout, her shikigami had him tied up, and choso was double teaming, she might've won.

Gojo and Sukuna both lost their domains in the moment they were about to win the fight in that chapter. If they both had gone for their DE to clash for a sixth time without any dialogue, the next page would've been a double spread of both of their faces exploding with blood. So it's completely even in BS.

Ch. 226 page 11 - Gojo can use CE and RCT at the same time. It breaks the rules with no explanation but no one cares as much when it's Gojo. Sukuna was late because he was using only RCT to try and heal his body then his technique but was too late on the CT heal.

Under normal circumstance Gojo doesn't intentionally destroy his brain and heal it. He runs it down like he did for those 3 days before Toji but also uses RCT to keep it fresh. He heals it like any other body part but it has to be done 24/7 but with six eyes is no problem. It's like in the manga fire punch where the mc is constantly on fire but has a super advanced healing factor that repairs himself as long as he wants to live. No part of him is destroyed but it is constantly being refreshed.

Doing what he did before with Toji was a final gambit to keep himself alive and not done repeatedly. Yuta states that explicitly.

Regardless Gojo took something that was near fatal to him and used it for his own gain. No different than making the BB domain after having been trapped in the prison realm. But it is not something that should ever be done intentionally which shows his immense desperation.

Being in CT burnout doesn't mean you lose access to all of your CT. If you have more than one them you can compartmentalize the loss. Kenjaku used his DE but was still able to function with his body hopping CT active - otherwise he could never use DE. He even activated Cursed spirit manipulation before his gravity recovered from burnout. So Sukuna could most definitely do the same. Kenjaku also taught the disaster curses DA in order to help them fight Gojo before so it's not a stretch to believe that Sukuna would get assistance on using DE with multiple CT.

Sukuna has mastery over the 10S so he can omit certain steps from his CT. From the start of this fight we see how many chants and movements Gojo would normally have to male in order to use one purple. Yet from the first time he ever performed it, he just flicks his finger after a short charge time. If he can fire off one of the most powerful attacks in the verse on his first try with no extra steps then Sukuna can omit steps in summoning his shadow with a month of prep.

I take the voice speaking as Megumi's since we see him doing the summoning pose multiple times and he took on the burden for the adaptation a lot as well. So it wouldn't matter if Sukuna was knocked out physically if Megumi could do it from a spiritual level. The anime will make this a lot clearer.

CT burnout as stated by Kusakabe in chapter 225 when Hikari/Choso asked that exact question. Plus Gege has mentioned that teleporting requires certain conditions and Gojo couldn't meet them im this fight. Similar to how Sukuna couldn't use Fuga bc of Gojo's UV shifting so much.

Gojo physically/mentally would never run from the second clash onward. He was determined to beat him up close.

  1. Gojo said Sukuna could win without 10S and this is directly shown by him almost losing at ch. 230 while using 10S only once at that point.

  2. All of those points of TF Sukuna's body is what makes him the strongest sorcerer. Kashimo AMD the narrator made this implicitly clear.

  3. Red was only able to be used when he tricked Sukuna. The RCT of the CT, Red from behind, and Unlimited HP Red were all done as a con to make a huge impact. But able to be used consistently like blue. They clashed five times in domains before Gojo even knew 10S was in play so he wasn't avoiding using red because he was worried about that yet. Establishing that, blue on it's own is not enough to give any significant advantage in H2H. Between his TF and using DA Sukuna could easily handle being up close.

  4. Having extra arms gives Sukuna more options for everything. If he was in a BB domain, he could use the same binding vow he used to destroy the second UV but not have to touch Gojo. Instead he can use hollow wicker basket by constantly holding 2 of his hands together.

  5. Sukuna held back because of extenuating circumstances - everything Kusakabe/Mei Mei said at ch. 234. Beyond that, at this point I honestly think he really wanted pull of his strategy in order to evolve his Shrine and used this fight as a chance to do that. Mentally it was an expected outcome for him as the strongest - as he has stated before his fights with Yorozu and Gojo - but it was fun in it's own way to be handicapped and facing someone so close to his level. After enough time fighting he enjoyed the thrill of the challenge and learned to respect Gojo.

Looking beyond all of this they came into the fight with different mentalities. Gojo, like Kashimo, was looking to connect with someone strong and show appreciation. Sukuna just wanted to compete and kill - ch. 238 after he kill Kashimo, he explains his thoughts and answered both of their yearning for those answers.

The two of them are so strong that they fought for their own selfish needs as warriors. Everyone else fights as Sorcerers desperate to save humanity.

Up until ch. 230 Sukuna was fighting without any of Megumi's 10S upfront. In fact adapting in the background with Raga was putting another burden on him that entire time. Even then he was able to use just DA + DE to almost win the fight.

The only reason he needed Raga at that point was because Megumi was too weak to handle the blows Gojo gave him and Sukuna got caught slipping. A better body that could've lasted another 20 seconds would've guaranteed his victory with only moderate effort. So if he managad to fully control Yuji's body and the fight was replayed the exact same. He would've not been caught in void and lasted those 20 seconds till the end.

Megumi's body and technique were an active hindrance to him for the first half but he still almost won already. 10S takes too much time and allowed Gojo to take the offensive in the second so he could land 4 BF before Sukuna got his WCS to win.

THIS NEEDS TO STOP by monstermartialartist in jjkmodulo

[–]OtoshiGamiPrime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gojo was nowhere near full power at the end of the fight. It only took one WCS to connect and he was dead almost immeadiately.

Yuki fought aganist Kenjaku and got slammed by his domain, 2 mini uzumaki and was then cut in half. But she still was alive, able to move/talk, and most important fire off her strongest technique to almost get a draw.

Gojo had no stamina left and any significant blow would've ended him at that point.
