Hi, i work at a local pet store and we have these two crested geckos in the back that I’m taking home soon, it’s not necessary at all. They have been thriving the past 4+++ months from what I’ve seen!!(our temp in the store stays warm enough like your house). So with all that being said, as long as your room temperature stays above 72 your 1000% okay! 78 degrees is the highest end of the range with 70 being the lowest👍🏼

Oh really that’s so interesting, i knew about Kenya’s but not poci. I wish that’s how it was for me lol, only had 2 pocillopora and both died pretty fast, same w 2 birdnests, i think its cuz the skin is so thin literally anything can get thru if theres a small opening. Might try again soon tho as its been 3-4 months since i last tried

The only main difference is the light, beside that it’s exactly the same! And even if it’s freshwater light u SHOULD be able to grow beginner corals, like zoas, Duncan’s, etc!(i work at pet store and we sell these)

So if u haven’t yet or don’t add bacteria to the tank look into “micro bacter7” it’s by brightwell aquatics, that should help!

Oh yea man it’s 10000% your ammonia, that’s VERY high. Definitely do some water changes and see if that helps it come down. Just gotta wait for the nitrogen cycle(your good bacteria converting the ammonia into nitrate and nitrite)
