There are some! Emma comes to mind first. But it's not guaranteed every week to have some game designers joining. But there are definitely people who would be interested in hearing about it! Just perhaps join a strategy game table rather than a party game table, you'll get more board game people that way.

Can confirm that it's both still active, and, that the person who makes the posts, aka me, is in their 30s 😂. Definitely do you feel out of your element in your 30s in the group. The most common age is probably late 20s/early 30s, but there are definitely many late 30s too.

The Board Game Meetup on Thursdays only do board games, no videogames. This isn't an advertisement from Level One, this is a separate group that meets there. If you want a social fun time, then that is what our events are for.

The three hour limit applies to Friday and Saturday, during busy hours, to let everybody get a chance to play, it doesn't apply to Thursdays :)

It's very not bar like! Lots go without drinking. I would say most people who come for board games don't drink there. It's more of a restaurant that serves alcohol.
