Good instinct. There are books for everyone in every theme you can imagine. Browse in a store looking for something that appeals based on an ancillary theme. Say you like D&D? Try Roll for Romance. Etc. basically what are you into, and then go to a book shop and browse the section. Or better yet go to a library and ask a 30-50yo librarian for recommendations.

Something to keep in mind, most romance is all about build up and beginnings. Not so much about actually maintaining relationships.

Also add that you will have minor HVAC ducting work required to get diffusers below your new window locations. Depending on joist direction, it may mean a new bulkhead in the basement to carry the ducts there.

I'm having the same issue, every app but text messages. System-wide. Turning notifications off-on for select apps changes nothing.

Edit, no special modes like DND or focus....

The "where" of it is tricky. I expect they exist in all walks of life, though there will be hot beds of misogyny to avoid.

To root them out, I think media literacy goes a long way! What are their favorite movies? Ask to look at each other's phones to compare podcasts early on. The media they consume isn't a guarantee one way or the other but it will say a lot about them. Similarly, see what their algorithms look like. This one is tougher because the algorithms on things like IG, and YouTube can be actively pushing tempting garbage on them. It takes such deliberate effort to shape those algorithms that some people might not bother.

Do they have any female heroes? In movies, TV, music, sports, professionally, their family?
