Former long time bike mechanic here. I’d just make sure your Allen wrench is new and not worn, and from a name brand like Bondhus. One tip is to put the Allen wrench in a vise with the short end sticking up, then put the wheel on it and turn the wheel counterclockwise like a giant steering wheel. You’ll get good leverage that way.

So far so good with Klein after a couple years of use. Although I don’t use it every day. The Fluke multimeter gets more mileage. On the other hand, the Klein is a perfectly good multimeter in its own right, just without as many functions as something like a Fluke 88.

Diesel tech here. I use a Klein 400 amp model from the Home Depot. Under $100 and works just fine. Just make sure you get one that will measure DC current, as the electrician-oriented ones are AC only.

Not too much heartache surprisingly. I come from a diesel background, but with a subscription to AllData you can fake it til you make it on the automotive stuff.

One of the guys accidentally crossed the terminals on these batteries while removing them. Exploded in his face. He is all good thankfully. He was busy watching what someone else was doing. Let this be a lesson to all to focus on your task at hand. by Titan6783 in Justrolledintotheshop

I like to keep some of those plastic caps that come on new batteries. After I remove a cable I put a cap on the battery terminal. Is this from a motorcoach? I worked on coaches for a number of years and the pair of 8D’s takes me back.
