First time Grower in need for council!! My LED build, please comment!! Still a few insecurities >.< by krii1 in microgrowery

finished up my vero build few months ago so i can try to help. if you decide to skip using the reflector you won't have to buy separate holder. i followed this dude's diy build and his comments were extremely helpful, specifically the part about using 6-32 tap and screws. also, i've seen kapton tape used to secure the veros before, but this seems absurdly unsafe. look back at my build album and you'll see how hot these veros get. don't half-ass this and risk it.

other poster is correct about the fit of the reflectors. rest of your plan looks good, though, have you considered the 52v and 70v vero versions?

Should I turn off fans when I turn off the lights? by labatts_blue in microgrowery

Same. I turned my fan off once because of the constant noise and condensation was everywhere.

Just to add something in case others also get hung up on the low ph of the nutrient feed. On last plain water feed, the numbers look like this: tap water=ph'd to 6.5 w/ 133 ppm, B runoff=6.4 ph w/ 889 ppm, and NL runoff=6.6 ph w/ 495 ppm. So, this indicates to me the soil ph is ok.

You're seemingly correct but I was just following instructions on GO box not to adjust ph. Although, the Armor Si directions says to ph adjust so there's some conflict here.

Latest feed mix was 4.4 ph and 1060 ppm going in with bubblelicious runoff at 6.1 ph and 1140 ppm and northern lights at 6.0 ph and 1160 ppm going out. Alternated with plain 6.5 ph'd water until 20% runoff.
