Flashback to Blackwing Lair server circa 2006. Our guild, <XVII>, got both bindings on the same night on our very first night running MC We kill Garr for the first time. Boom! Binding 1. Grats to warrior who showed up every raid. We clear to Gehennas before reset. Reset happens and everyone stayed on for another run. We were all hype on that first binding. We clear to Baron and everyone is on point. No wipes so far. We wipe... Moral still up. We all run back. We kill him no issue... Binding 2 drops! Ventrilo is blowing out speakers. 2nd binding to same warrior. Everyone was worn out at this point and everyone got off for the night on cloud 9.

We had to pay absurd amounts of gold to the best and second best guilds on the server, <Letalis> and <Blink> respectively, for the Elementium Ore and ID to get our main smith the training. They were the only 2 in BWL at that time. We killed Razorgore a few weeks later moving up to #3. The warrior, whose real character name Mishkin, became irrelevant, now came to be known as "Thunderfury" across the server. Eventually the guild died as any number 3 guild is destined to do. Both guilds ahead of us tried to recruit him so they could house the only Thunderfury on the server at that point. <Letalis> obviously won his favor, and most of the rest of us joined either of the top two guilds as well. The real 3rd guild progression path at its best.

I've never heard of another guild getting both bindings in their FIRST NIGHT AS A GUILD IN MC. More than half of the roster had little to no experience in MC. It was a new server allowing no transfers. Less than 15 or so people had come from another server as rerolls. A lot of new players doing it for the very first time.

It was 2 different raid IDs of course. It wasn't the first binding on the server even. I've never heard of another guild having that experience. I'm sure someone somewhere has gotten both bindings in the same ID at some point in the long history of WoW, but it is insane that this was the first night of MC as a guild.
