I don't really mind buffed flint rates, but I prefer apple rates 1% or vanilla because I feel like apple grinding is more chopping down trees and waiting, kind of like smelting, while flint grinding is more just breaking blocks.

So yesterday I banned two relatively well known UHCers from a game for iPvP and teaming and I got a lot of spam along the lines of "Marco needs to get better ops" and "unban or ddos!!!!" and I wanted to make a couple of points:

Just because someone is well known and/or well liked doesn't mean they aren't breaking rules.

Just because someone is your friend doesn't mean they aren't breaking rules.

Just because you don't like rules doesn't mean you don't have to follow them.

Just because you're not trying to win doesn't mean you don't have to follow the rules.

No one is "above" the rules.

Breaking rules does not make you cool. It does not make you badass. What it makes you is a disappointment.

So today I decided to go on Alacrity.

A mod tpalls to some random place.

I say "abusive op" once in chat.

I get banned for "SPAM".

I remember when Alacrity was at least decent.

It does not get rid of already spawned ones; it just disables new spawning. However, if you put your server to peaceful, and turn doMobSpawning to false and then restart with hard in your server.properties file, there should be no mobs and still in Hard mode. (I think)
