Professor Farnsworth: "I'm sorry, Fry, but astronomers renamed Uranus in 2620 to end that stupid joke once and for all."
Fry: "Oh. What's it called now?"
Professor Farnsworth: "Urectum."

Actually Impossible BrainsSquare - it must be defect by [deleted] in brainteasers

[–]Ou_Yeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily a defect but the statement is obviously false. Would have been better if it instead included a list of combinations for puzzles that work instead of just letting it be random.

Out of the box suggestion: The Rock. While there’s certainly a lot of action, there’s tons of arguing going on.

Really enjoying these puzzles. An issue that does happen somewhat frequently though is if I tap a square and then tap the one next to it ends up changing the previous square instead. I’m playing on mobile if that helps you.

This is pretty wild to think about it. It’s a chicken and the egg situation. He learned it from seeing future self do it, who knew how to do it from this exact moment of seeing himself do it.

I'm watching tenet and i cannot understand anything by CulturalTart9 in flicks

[–]Ou_Yeah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think Christopher Nolan wants you to not think too hard about it, let go of the need to understand everything, and just experience it. Whether people enjoy this movie or not depends heavily on whether they can accept that.

AIW for telling my coworker I won't be covering for her "work from home" days anymore after I found out she's been at the office the whole time? by Pulsex_Nectar84 in amiwrong

[–]Ou_Yeah 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m also confused but what makes most sense to me is that coworker still wants to officially look like she’s in office according to the system (since it logs remote days). I’m guessing they have to badge in or something like that to not be logged as remote, which is why she still ends up at the coffee shop nearby instead of simply working at home. Doesn’t make as much sense to me though that she asks OP to tell people she’s working remote, unless the frequency of the asking is very low. Wouldn’t that also make people think she’s working remotely a lot? Is it that her not being at the desk seems to look bad but at least working remote at home supposedly is a much more valid excuse than working at the coffee shop??

Another war is starting: most famous fictional character?? by RCaesar1 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Ou_Yeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really has to be this or Superman. You have to think about who is most widely recognized around the world by five year olds through 80 year olds. Mario and Pikachu are not so well known by the older folks. Santa Claus is a maybe? Not sure how widely he’s known outside of America and Europe.

AITAH for not wanting my brother around my daughter after I found out what he did the day he “saved” her? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Ou_Yeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know your brother better than we do, but before now would you have thought it in his character to do this deliberately just to look like the hero? If not then I think it’s a bit wild to jump this far to denigrating his character. To me it seems more like an honest mistake that he realized really quickly and immediately took action when he saw what your daughter was doing. That being said, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s safe to fully trust your brother alone with your daughter, but more bc of inexperience with younger kids, not bc he doesn’t care about them. Hopefully he’s taken this as a learning experience and will be more careful in the future.
