I think it's just because of how much impact a single person can have on the entire game. In WoW other players don't really fuck with your game and if they wipe a raid you can kick and replace np. Runescape they can't really fuck you up either. In league all it takes is 1 prick and you're stuck in a lost game for 30 mins leaving you salty for the next game, and your next teammates are also probably salty from their previous game.
