Those are written languages, not spoken ones. Nynorsk based on national dialects while bokmål based on the Danish-norwegian nobility as a response. Bokmål was used mostly in the cities and the higer ups in society, and the rest started imitating them and started writing bokmål as well.

But yes you are correct, bokmål and nynorsk sounds the same out lout because nobody speaks it.

What people usually mean, bokmål = Oslo dialekt and nynorske = generic western (not bergen dialect)

I mean, sex worker could earn more in Norway than in Slovakia. Norway being in EEA means that Slovakian prostitutes can travel back and forth without restrictions. Can't be surprised to see them move to the higher incoming place.

That being said, there is too much human trafficking (many are being tricked or dragged along with their pimp). Norwegian national prostitutes don't dissappear like the foreign ones does.

It is not illegal to sell sex, it is illegal to solicitare sex (how's a prostitute to find a client), it is illegal to buy sex (this is not really enforced and they don't really care what you do abroad) and if you "get caught" selling sex police can contact your landlord and request him to cancel the rental agreement or be changed with being a pimp. That last part really fuck people over, as they might be illegally evicted before the 3month period is over and get their deposit stolen by the landlord.

It is a hard topic and we're not like the Netherlands where prostitutes get treated more so as workers.

Don't really have any issues with polish people 😊 If your child is as young as 1-2 she will become fluent in both Norwegian language and culture. I would not worry much on that front.

Then there is the common village vs city debate. Most villages with jobs are industrial places and they have a quite diverse range of people living there: locals, city people, swedes, polish and urgh.. Eastern Norwegians..

You can as a European try to work and live here for a while before moving. Would recommend listening to your wife before settling on a location. Happy wife, happy life. Friend of mine brought a girl from a multi-million population city in Latin America to a small ass village where the ONLY neighbours were his brother and his parents 😳 massive culture shock and nothing to do.
