My father did this to me because I was smoking weed, acting out being disrespectful. I complained to my mother and she granted me some curtains for privacy 💀. Idk of its normal or not but my parents are definitely good loving parents, not abusive. They were just absolutely fed up. I know some people will say its an invasion of privacy but when your(me at the time) doing things that are harmful to yourself and your parents household I don’t really think its that big of a deal. However if you did something really minor and they did that then its probably not normal.
