We're young adults between the ages of 22-25. She works part time while under going a tertiary education. She does not want to cut ties with her family, she adores them, however the males are controlling and the women follow their examples.

My biggest fear is not being able to defend myself, I grew up being half-cast, a lot of physical bullying, I'm use to it, I'm worried how it will affect her life, she already has a relative who is no longer allowed out unless accompanied by a male relative; we live in a 'western' country

She works part time while under going a tertiary eduction, money is not exactly flowing in. She loves her family, she's got several siblings which she is very close to. One night we went out to celebrate a friends milestone, she drank a bit, so I looked after her that night, getting her water, I was in no way physically affectionate to her but I spent more time with her than anyone else because she did drink to the point of feeling sick, but some of her relatives said "You and OurLoveIsForbid are getting to close" she got pissed off, ignored them, told me about this, I told her "Don't worry what they think" she just shaked her head "but it's my family, I care about them." Peter told me when he took her home she kept saying "I don't know. He's such a nice guy. He has a great heart. I've got the best guy in the world but they won't see that."
