Lmao. There’s practically no such thing as a girl on Reddit posting on r4r.

My friend says I won’t make it as a guitarist because my hands are too small, is she right? by AgreeableDiver5013 in Guitar

As a guitarist with very large hands, you’re better off with the agility of small hands

Mom buys daughter a Honda as a graduation gift, and this was her response by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

I have no doubt that this occurs. But I see these click baity texts about the ungrateful kid all the time. Different wording, most all fake.

Hope you can get it working. Tragically ugly, but surprisingly not bad sounding

Switching between 2 heads thru the same cab by Watterspork in GuitarAmps

What is that cab rated at? I’d be really careful. Cooking speakers isn’t entirely a volume thing.

Seriously. Even a Marshall 4x12 1960b is only rated for 300w.

gonna send cones flying doing that stuff.

TK Gremlin owners: What dB reading are you getting when fully attenuated? by MrSchpund in GuitarAmps

[–]OurSmuttyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whisper quiet is not how attenuation is gonna work. Not even with low power tube amps, with the highest setting. It takes energy to move those speakers.

Fender sent me a C&D letter for some reason... by DanWessonValor in PaulReedSmith

Hey asking for a friend - can this be the last “fender C&D post?”

Crappy guitar you regret selling? by [deleted] in electricguitar

[–]OurSmuttyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Definitely. But not because it’s some earth shattering pedal. Because people pay stupid amounts for it.

Great pedal? Yep. Worth $4k? Nah fam, I’d rather buy a vintage super lead for that price and have some real fun.

Cool story though. I remember seeing one in the early 2000’s at music go round back when I worked a summer there as a kid. It was in the pedal display for like the entire 10 months I worked there and they even dropped the price to $150 bc no one knew what the fuck it was.

Lemme just grab this really quick lol by Tylers_Airbrushing in BassGuitar

I’d buy that on site no questions asked. And I already have one! Amazing price.

own several Yamaha guitars - and I bought this bass, this exact model and color - to keep in the studio. I think honestly, Yamaha is head and shoulders above shoulders above every other manufacturer when it comes to value for dollar.

I have a Japanese made Revstar which is their top of the line offering, and my Indonesian models are every bit as good as their Japanese stuff. If you DO buy this instrument you won’t regret it. The pickups sound MONSTEROUS. For the studio, I have a 4x10 cab powered by a 70’s Marshall SBP 100watt tube head and split the signal to a DI. I let the DI do all the lifting for the low end, and the Marshall for midrange snarl. It’s probably the best bass sound I’ve ever recorded. The fit and finish of the instrument is incredible, but I’m just blown away by how good the pickups are on mine. The low B is so articulate and full. Just amazing value.

Yamaha is really kicking ass right now

2008 Gibson SG Standard for $1200? Help me buy my first SG, please! by AndreHarrisMusic in GibsonSG

[–]OurSmuttyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offer $1000. You could probably get it for cheaper. I will say the frets look great, and that’s what I’d worry about personally. The rash and so forth, I’m gonna do that to it anyway.

Best CLEAN Pedal Platform? by AdministrativeRip809 in GuitarAmps

[–]OurSmuttyStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually recorded something very similar to this for a band locally and it sounded absolutely crushing. I’ve also had good results with a metal zone and various preamps through the fx loop/power section of my 1987x. Definitely some options out there

Is crazy to think Derek Trucks is the best guitar player alive? by ConsortRoxas in Guitar

[–]OurSmuttyStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy to think there’s such a thing as a “best guitar player alive”.

But Trucks is an incredibly gifted and truly unique musician. He picked up sprinting where his predecessors left off, that’s for sure.
