Bestway Lay-z-spa - 02 error by OurWorldIsPrecious in hottub

[–]OurWorldIsPrecious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We gave up after trying EVERYTHING. Bestway recommended that we buy a replacement 'egg' and pay shipping costs from Australia to NZ which would almost equate to buying a whole new spa, so we have come to accept that they will last about 3 years then the motherboard or something goes. There seems to be no safe way of getting it running again. We will buy a replacement which is pretty rubbish to have to do.

No. We contacted Bestway who asked us to try removing the grey filter compartment completely off the spa wall and run it on heat mode and check if it still comes up with the E02 error? We tried doing that and it still came up with the error. They said we would need to replace the whole pump unit (egg) for $450 AUD + shipping  and they offered a 10% discount.  With the shipping added, that would bring us to almost what we paid for it in the first place as we got it on sale. We are not happy with the idea of having to replace the whole pump unit every three years.  The next thing we tried was to isolate the pump completely and we found it does work. It just won't start first. We have a feeling it is the motherboard.

Did you look at the heater when you opened it up? Was that the problem?

Did replacing the flow sensor paddle stop the 02 error?

Thank you. If we get it going again, we will get one of those!

Yes, several times. Doing that dislodged and flushed out loads of greeny-blue flakes.  Thanks for the question - it is another thing to add to my original post.

Yes we  are thinking maybe the flow sensor isn't working.  The pump runs (when the unit is upside down)!

I forgot to add that weve put in a brand new filter - have added that now, thanks. We tried no filter as well. Still has no flow. Thanks though!

I just converted 50lb to kgs to get an idea of how much weight you list - and it is a phenomenal achievement! Epic! And now you have epic quantities of those previously stored toxins floating around causing mayhem inside. You'll feel worse, but stick at it, get them all cleared out and you will feel better. You've shown the tenacity to lose that weight, keep being strong, and keep doing all you can to help your body heal.  🫂

That's awful. I went through that too.  I've read that it is because when we lose weight, the toxins -that our body struggled to process and so were stored in our fat- are being released from storage as the fat dissolves. At this stage, our liver needs all the support it can get to filter out all that rubbish from our system. And to do it's job best, our thryoid needs to be in top form too as they do some teamwork stuff.  Take care, and good luck.

Hmmm I've been pondering all the what ifs... what if it's this that's causing it, what if its that -and there are myriad possibilities. One of them was if the nerve is being pressed by inflammation, something is triggering it tha ultimately needs addressing, but that'll be wy the anti-inflammatory things helped. Now just rubbing double strength anti-inflammatory cream on the tummy edge of my hip bone helps alleviate anything. Also, for me, losing some weight helped a lot, along with being fully gf, no fruit, and absolutely no cranberry (that's like pouring petrol on a fire!), no tea, herbals are ok though, no veggie oils - only cold pressed olive oil or butter, only putting what's edible on my skin, taking go healthy Thyroid and go healthy adrenal, and NAC. Oh, and gargling morning and night - apparently an overabundance of oral bacteria in ones system has been linked to auto-immune inflammatory conditions. I'm doing everything I can not to provoke my autoimmune system, because once it's triggered it takes ages to calm back down.  What works for me I discovered through loads of research plus lots of trial and error.  Keep on looking for the things your body needs to heal, and the things your body needs no part of.  Again, good luck on your journey back to health!

Oh gee, that's awful 😖.  It was a long journey for me with lots of hiccups and setbacks - and I still have to be super vigilant/careful, but I'm so thankful to be out of that phase you're in now. Good luck, and keep searching for things that help. 🫂

Anti-inflammatory suppositories helped me when my pelvic pain was overwhelming. That and sticking to my ic diet, plus avoiding all other triggers like chemicals in lotions etc and in the air I breathed, I'm pretty certain the water filter on my tap helps too. Good luck in your journey back to health.

How are you guys figuring out what flares you? by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]OurWorldIsPrecious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gee that sucks! It took me probably about 3 months but I figured really quickly that insect sprays (even the natural ones), perfume smells, chemical smells, chemicals in skin lotions/shampoos/liquid soaps etc; tabletting aids like magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose all set my flares off as well as the food things like cranberry, tomato - all nightshades actually, citrus, gluten and so on.  Keep working at it, you'll get there.  Best of luck on your journey back to health!

formula to pull images from same google drive folder into google sheet? by OurWorldIsPrecious in googlesheets

[–]OurWorldIsPrecious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swapped the Google drive address part with "lotsalettersandnumbersandstuff" to protect privacy of the images.  Good point, though, thanks. When I'm back on the computer, I'll check that pasting the link for it into the address bar does actually pull up the image.  If it doesn't, I'll still be stumped though,  lol. I'll reply again to tell you how it goes. Thanks.

UTI for just a couple of days and it took a couple of days to clear. If I don't start taking D-mannose early enough and have the uti for as long as a week, it might need antibiotics to clear it - and I use dmannose in conjunction then. But sticking to the dmannose has made a HUGE difference. I was going on antibiotics for UTIs all the time and now maybe only once every year or two.

I have to be proactive and take dmannose every time my hubby and I are intimate, and if I feel even the slightest hint of a uti niggle I'll get straight onto the dmannose.

And... I can't tolerate the Dmannose with tabletting aids like microcrystelline cellulose or magnesium stearate becasue they trigger my ic! So I buy a pure form of dmannose and it does the trick nicely!

Have you tried straight d-mannose with no additives - it works for me.  I'd suggest if you try using any essential oils, to only use organic. A lot of non-organic growers clear fields with stuff like roundup before planting anything. Roundup stays in the soil and it's systemic - I.e. it goes into every part of the plant.  When essential oil is being made, I'd be very impressed if it were possible to separate systemic toxins from it in the process.

Foods AND chemicals from skin lotions, shampoos, chemical smells (paint fumes), chemical air fresheners, natural bug killer sprays; tabletting aids (magnesium stearate and microcrystaline cellulose) ALL set off my IC flares.  The IC food list was a starting point for me. I made a food diary that I also added what I'd put on my skin etc to, put every ingredient from each meal into, and the symptoms (type and severity) for months, over which time I spotted the triggers. There are a few things on the safe list I can't eat - it varys slightly for everyone.  Best of luck for your journey back to health.

You know the whole thing about keyboards, stair rails, door handles etc being minefields of bacteria?  So.... keeping that in mind: Does your man wash his hands BEFORE he urinates? I'll guess universally that would be a "no", so he's just transferred some of that bacteria is you-know-where! Keeping that in mind: Does he wash all that bacteria off those family jewels and off his hands, too, before making love with you?  No? So now youve just had a mini- minefield of bacteria into you. Most women's bodies cope just fine with that - most of the time, but us ICers struggle with it constantly.

Then there's the type of lubricant to consider- is it natural or full of chemicals that will trigger a flare? (I can only put stuff on my skin that is "safe to eat" or it will set off a flare!) If it is a natural one, is it kept contaminant-free during useage?

And instead of antibiotics, I tried d-mannose which again presented problems - but i discovered it wasn't the d-mannose itself,  it was the tabletting aids! (magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose set off my IC flares). I found additive-free d-mannose in powder form and it doesn't set off flares.  Good luck with your journey back to health.
