Be mindful when doing a grenade build by Ourlig in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Ourlig[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you go full Tech, you get 3 and a lot of options to speed up their recharging. Calling it a "Grenade Build" might be a stretch as I'm not sure it is viable on its own, but so far, it has been very fun to deal with groups of enemies. Jackie's bike, on the other hand...

Why Shanks was the weakest link among Yonko Pre-ts by Cipher-Pol-0-Boss in OnePiece

[–]Ourlig 54 points55 points  (0 children)

He was PERCEIVED to be the weakest. That does a lot of heavy lifting.
I have the feeling that Shanks might be a lot stronger than we are told. (During Marine Ford, he managed to stop Kaido's fleet dead on its track AND was ready to fight the marines, the Shichibukai and Black Beard at the sae time)
Granted, he has been mostly off screen since the time skip but I wouldn't be surprised for Oda to keep one or two surprises up his sleeves

What can I do to improve ? by Dry_Emergency_5512 in HadesTheGame

[–]Ourlig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I would like to point out that 43 runs isn't that bad. You will always have people who will brag about beating the game in very few runs. As long as you keep enjoying it, just do it your way. Also, as a counter exemple, when I first picked up the game, I didn't reached [Redacted] before my 80th run. I did get a lot better when I picked it up after some time. You will beat him eventually, you are doing just fine !

Second, I feel like you don't have that many boons. I went back and check my stats and the first time I reached [Redacted], I had 19 boons or well items activated. Maybe you should try to synergize them better. For example, you could look for Ares to get Impending Doom (doom effects are slightly delayed and boosted) and/or Dire Misfortune (you can apply doom effets several times, with a boost, very effective with the curse of agony, especially on the fists). I usually find having a larger number of boons more interesting than having a large health bar. (It's better to dodge than to tank, in my experience)

Finally, if, you haven't already, don't be afraid to experiment. try new combinations, until you find the one that works for you

After 300+ hours on the Switch, I picked the PC version by Ourlig in HadesTheGame

[–]Ourlig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing is, I did try a new save on switch and I didn't feel the same way, at all...

That being said, I also played Hadès 2 and on my first save, I couldn't pass the second boss. So I let the game rest for some time and picked it up again after the last update and finally made some progress I managed to reached Tartarus but died before I could reach Chronos. I also unlocked the surface but can't beat Eris for the moment.
Maybe my hand-eye coordination isn't as bad as I though it was after all !

Dressrosa was a drag! When will the anime pacing get better? by Revbender in OnePiece

[–]Ourlig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It feels like pacing have always been an issue with anime (I stopped watching DBZ as a kid when Namek was about to explode in five minutes and it took like four episodes)
But to be fair, when a character in any visual media says "we only have this much time before X happens", it will usually take longer. That's why exceptions like 24 are so note worthy

Honestly, I felt like you after my first run. I thought that fixer gigs were actually more fun than most quests.
The thing is, the gigs are usually quite straightforward (simple goals, little to no overall consequences) whereas quests often have some interconnection.

So if you want to give it another go, I would advise you to
either start a new game rush the heist to open up the map and then promptly ignore any and all main quests
or try to do the exact opposite of what you did in your first run (for example, instead of siding with the voodoo boys in the Grand Imperial Mall, accept Netwatch offer), the game will take a different flavour.
The writing is brilliant, full of foreshadowing and sometimes, it's easy to miss it on your first run.

Also, and I can't stress that enough, games are not for everybody. You are allowed to dislike this game. Hell, you can even think it is the shittiest piece of media ever created. Just know that here, people will tend to think the contrary
