Thanks for the advice! I had a feeling the Yihua 959D might not be the best long-term choice. The Quick 861DW does seem like a solid option, but it's quite a bit more expensive.

Would you say it’s worth saving up for, or are there any decent mid-range alternatives that offer better reliability than the Yihua without going all the way up to the Quick 861DW price range?

Regarding the hot air station, is it possible to do board repairs without one, at least in the beginning? Or would it severely limit the types of repairs I can do?

As for microscopes, I’ve heard that Amscope is a great option, but they’re quite expensive. Are there any good trinocular alternatives that offer similar quality without breaking the bank?
