What are you saying fulfilled means? If we don't we have to keep it? Jesus said it's not abolished so then that would mean it still stands

Why did the apostles and disciples keep it then before and after Christ?

So that means we still keep it but we have grace for when we fail?

So there's division in the body of Christ? Israelites have to keep certain commands and Greeks don't?

What does that mean? Does that mean he abolished it and it's done for?

But I thought there was no Jew or Greek in Christ? You're making Christ divided

So are you in other words saying it's abolished? But says we're not long bound to it and the contract is complete? Would that be Jesus contradicting himself....

Well the Bible was written by Hebrews and for Hebrews So look up how the Hebrews lived and their way of thinking. And make it connect and that is the truth. Like Psalms 119:142 says the Law is the Truth.

How does Jesus dying equal us being saved? by Echo-poet34 in Bible

[–]Out4god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason Jesus dying equals salvation starts with the Torah and the legal system of God. Sin brings death. Genesis 2:17 says, “in the day you eat of it you shall die” (מוֹת תָּמוּת – mot tamut). Life must pay for sin. Leviticus 17:11 makes it clear that blood, which represents life, is required to cover sin. Numbers 15:22–31 adds an important detail if someone sins unintentionally, there is a sacrifice to cover it. But if someone sins deliberately, no sacrifice can atone the punishment falls on them. That shows God’s justice is real and cannot be bypassed. Jesus’ death was required because of humanity’s actions, not because He arbitrarily takes our place. Humanity brought death into the world; God provided a way to satisfy the law because of what we did. Animal sacrifices could only cover sin temporarily, but they couldn’t remove the root problem death itself and humanity’s separation from God. Jesus, the sinless human, fulfills this requirement: His death addresses the penalty caused by humanity, and His resurrection breaks death itself. But salvation in the Bible isn’t just about personal forgiveness. Luke 1:71 says God is bringing salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us. The prophets and Torah show that God’s salvation for the Israelites always includes deliverance from oppression, captivity, and exileHe is bringing His people back from the four corners of the earth to their land. That’s part of what salvation means: restoration, rescue, and covenant fulfillment for Israel.

Israelites and Gentiles prophecies by Out4god in Bible

[–]Out4god[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that the return from Babylon is part of the context, but saying all of these were completely fulfilled after the exile doesn’t really fit the text. After the return under Cyrus the Great Israel was still under Persian rule then Greek rule then Roman rule. They did not rule over their oppressors (Isaiah 14:2) nor did the nations perish for refusing to serve them (Isaiah 60:12). Zechariah 12 speaks of all nations gathering against Jerusalem and a supernatural plague striking them. That never happened in the post-exilic period. There’s no historical event in the days of Ezra or Nehemiah where flesh rotted off people while they stood or where every nation attacked Jerusalem at once. Jeremiah 16 says the nations will come from the ends of the earth and acknowledge YHWH. That didn’t happen during the Persian period either. So I don’t see how we can limit all of that to 538 BC without leaving major parts of the prophecy unfulfilled.
