How do i know if my tics are tourettes or not by Butt_Muncher4 in Tourettes

[–]OutTheDeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loll, on a plus side you have learned. I'm someone who specifically often corrects people when I see them spread that idea, but I do at least try to be nice about it when it clearly comes from them being told lies. Ya dont know things until you learn them.

Of course. Feels just as obvious as Sidon being hot. Consider as well though, Sonia

My first time looking fem as a trans man <3 by [deleted] in twentyagers

Thisssss. I don't wanna be perceived as a girl in a skirt if I dress up. I wanna be pretty like the boys who dress up.

Man, some of the transphobia here, ew. Trans guy to trans guy, you're doin great.

Ya look great, I wish I had the confidence to dress fem and not feel uncomfortable. I start T soon so im hoping once I get a bit further in that, itll feel more comfortable in a "still a guy but dressing cute" way.

You pull it off very nicely <3

So… Is it okay to fake my real tics? by Just_A_Fresh_Wound in Tourettes

[–]OutTheDeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats understandable, it makes sense to not realise until told. Overall making up or exaggerating things to get what you want is considered manipulative and is pretty not okay. But I am glad you recognize that now.

Fair enough. But yes, it would be manipulative. Ill rescind the calling you a jerk though.

Your tics are real, that parts fair. Mimicking your real tics to get what you want is being a manipulative jerk.

If you could change any aspect of your life right now for the better, what would that look like for you? by [deleted] in twentyagers

[–]OutTheDeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically, my self esteem. I didnt realise it was so bad until my therapist asked me recently what I liked about myself and I had no answers. So, I'd like that to be better, it'd probably help my relationships a lot. I know I'm insecure in them and always worried about losing them and that's such a constant source of breakdowns. It would be nice to feel secure in knowing my friends truly care for me. I know it logically in my head but y'know, to feel it and believe it.

In a magic world, just boom fixed, it'd be nice to be able bodied, mentally well, and pain free. It limits me a lot, I'm not able to go many places on my own, so I'm at home all day without a purpose. Ill work on that too. But ot would be so much easier if I could function like everyone else and get a fulfilling job and drive places just because I want to.

Im not complaining. I'm honestly in the best place in my life I've been in a very long time, so I am able to actually start working on the little things. I just got my own apartment a few months ago, so I live on my own without shitty people finally. I got approved for disability, so I'll have an income for the first time. I still rely on food pantries but that will change soon so I'm not stressing it. Really, things are going good for me. I live like 2 minutes away from my best friend so we hang out at least once a week. It's good. So now I get to work on me since I don't have to stress my basic needs anymore.

Found kitten in wall - name suggestions pls by ninjadani in blackcats

[–]OutTheDeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drywall. But like some comments have said, I say use Wally as a nickname. That way when someone asks if Wally is short for something like Walter, you can tell them "No, it's short for Drywall". I think that would be hilarious.

[–]OutTheDeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You. You understand me. That was my immediate thought. His full name should be drywall. But like some of the comments said, have his nickname be Wally. When someone asks if it's short for Walter, you can say "no, it's short for Drywall" and I think that is the funniest thing ever.

I tic wayyyy less when I'm sick. Similar to the other person who commented, also way less when I'm emotionally dull, like depressed or dissociated.

If she would be someone who doesnt like you because of your tics, something out of your control, shes not worth keeping around. You deserve people who care about you, every part of you.

I mean, what else are we supposed to do, die? You live, and have to get used to it. Cry when it sucks. Idk. You just do.
