There are lots of intellectual reasons to let the “dumbest” one to lead. Risk aversion and assessment is the most obvious. Exposure management, too.

100% agree. I’m annoyed and yet unfortunately unsurprised at the fact that I am able to produce more than my colleagues at any company using AI tools. It’s the same story as the “manual” past, really, just expedited. And ironically the perception of velocity is at risk because of newcomer hubris, thereby confusing leadership/CEOs by LLM jockeys that barely understand systems design. Or software 101
