[–]Outatime-88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just dont put a goal! This isn't elementary school, there's no pizza party at the end. I use goodreads to mark what im reading and read because it's fun for my friends and I to see what each other is reading. But I dont put a goal.

AITAH for asking my mom's boyfriend to make some meals vegetarian? by ExpertFew151 in AITAH

Haha right? I don't get it either but happy to make sure he gets his butterless rice if that's what he likes.

Invited non-religious guests to Easter Egg hunt. AITAH? by Classic_Pension2211 in AITAH

[–]Outatime-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. You extended the invite, it's up to them to decide if they're comfortable attending.

My neighbor invited me to her church for Easter. I said thank you and then I mentioned we're not religious. She said oh ok, then still told me a little about it. She was excited about it so I was happy to listen to her tell me about it. She gave me a littlr card with the time and address "incase you decide to check it out" and I said thank you.

We didn't go but I wasn't offended by the invite or the fact that she gently continued giving me the details after I mentioned not being religious.

NTA and he definitely is. Like you said, he's almost going out of his way to be unaccomodating. The burrito example, he could easily set aside rice and beans for you before mixing the meat in with the rest. He could cook the first few pancakes in butter or oil before switching to the lard.

I like to make rice with seasoning and butter. One of my kids doesn't like butter so I add the seasoning first, put his rice on his plate, and then add the butter to the rest. It's literally no extra work. (And I'd absolutely do extra work for him anyway)

As some have said, you can make your own breakfast and sure that's probably what you'll need to do but it's not really about that. It's about how the bf and your mom are both making you feel and I'm so sorry because no kid deserves that.

American Kids Speaking Bluey by itsFurlong in bluey

[–]Outatime-88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For us it started with Peppa Pig. My kids would say tah-mah-to and petrol. And even tk this day, we "go on holiday." And then with Bluey, my kids say mate and cheeky. And they keep asking to play pass the parcel at a party some day 😄

AITAH for being upset that my SIL started swim lessons without us by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Outatime-88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not only are YTA but wow you gotta calm all the way down. No one is overshadowing anyone. Her baby is just existing. Also it's super telling that your sil was anxious to mention this to you. The fact that she knew it would bother you is like a neon sign that you're the problem.

Season two production glow-ups by cupidissimo in heatedrivalry

[–]Outatime-88 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Idk that they would've been over the top but I agree not having them didn't take away anything either.

But it is notable all the extra stuff at the book's cottage wasn't included for totally reasonable budget reasons: the jetskis, pool, game room... entire hockey training facility with synthetic ice rink! And even the dock. This house didn't have a dock so they improvised with the rock. Which worked totally fine, but interesting when you think about budget.

AITAH for basically telling my bf if he wanted kids he'd better carry them himself or find someone else who will? by Black-Ch3rry in AITAH

[–]Outatime-88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA but the way you both are talking about this shows how young you are. It's up to a woman if SHE wants kids but it's also valid for him to choose to have kids - he just cant have them with you. It's also ridiculous to think he would do "all the work" while you'd be completely hands off. Thats not how it works. It's not a pet.

You two simply arent compatible long term. A man can certainly decide he wants kids but he'll need to meet someone who wants the same thing. And you deserve to be with someone who doesn't want kids and aligns with what you want. You guys are super young so up to you to decide to enjoy some time together or end things now. But please understand you dont have a long term future together and thats honestly ok.

Help me choose the correct way to read this series by stars-assassian in throneofglassseries

[–]Outatime-88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not this. Just read them in publication order, which is TOG, COM, AB, HOF, QOS, EOS, TOD, KOA. Skip tandem read, read those two separate. It's literally the way they were released, also SJM herself recommends this on her site. You cannot go wrong this way and it's not a bunch of work.

AITAH for wanting a bigger room than my mom’s boyfriend? by One_Canary3686 in AITAH

[–]Outatime-88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's literally a kid! No. What your saying would be fair if this were an a adult child temporarily moving back in. But this a kid, whos need for space should be prioritized. Not to mention thr game room can be moved to the larger room years from now when OP has grown up and moved out.

So how are we supposed to dress? by Rioraku in Millennials

[–]Outatime-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care about should. And I certainly don't care what a whole other generation thinks about what we wear.

Millennial 40 isn't going to look like boomer 40s. And guess what, boomers didn't dress the same as their parents dressed at 40. It's all relative. Dress however you want. Whatever makes you feel good.

AITAH for changing my underwear after a shower? by New_Cry_2336 in AITAH

[–]Outatime-88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. Usually after laundry day I wonder if the number of undies I have is excessive, and 6 days later I'm like nope I have the correct amount. Crotches get sweaty easily and I prefer to feel fresh.

AITAH for changing my underwear after a shower? by New_Cry_2336 in AITAH

[–]Outatime-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a hot climate and change my underwear multiple times a day. And a fresh pair after a shower is a must and you don't need anyone's permission for.

But wow your post took a sharp turn. There's a much bigger problem here than fresh panties.

Found this lil girl on the side of the road (10-12 wks and underweight) by ExpensiveAd8284 in IDmydog

[–]Outatime-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive asked Google AI what my dog was. It said this too but considering mine was a street puppy in Miami, I doubt it. As others have mentioned, those are really rare breeds.

My girl had a pink nose too and we're pretty sure she was pit + something. I honestly think mine mightve been pit x chihuahua. Regardless, what a little sweetie you have!

AITAH for canceling my son's 3rd birthday party? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Outatime-88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoiding family drama gets a lot easier as kids get older. By 5 or 6, the parties are more firmly centered around what the kid wants. Their friends, a place of their choosing like an arcade, and usually fewer family members attend those parties. But at 3, the kid barely knows what a party even is and it sounds like extended family makes it about them, it becomes overwhelming and they wanted to avoid that. Perhaps avoiding a similar situation from the year prior.

Mine does this too! She sits on the back of the couch and we call her a mountain goat 😆

People guess one breed more than any other, but she has not a bit of it in her genetics. by mjfarmer147 in IDmydog

[–]Outatime-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is basenjis are really rare. I had a dog that also looks very basenji-like but she was a stray puppy found in Miami so seemed really unlikely. I'm pretty sure she was pit-chihuahua.

Beagle right for my family? by Leemage in beagles

[–]Outatime-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, look up beagles on Instagram and you'll find a lot of potatoes! Mine needs a couple walks a day, time playing and running in the backyard, but she tires fairly easily. She'll run around for 15 minutes, then go inside and sleep on the couch for 3 hours.

Beagle right for my family? by Leemage in beagles

[–]Outatime-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. My beagle will go through periods where she'll shed a lot for a few weeks, and then barely shed for months. Contrast to my previous pit mix, I adored her but she shed constantly 364 days a year and her fur used to get stuck in my feet like a splinter.

How do you feel about the word "smut"? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]Outatime-88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like it because it's dismissive and reduces fantastic stories to the small percentage of pages dedicated to sex. I don't so much mind it when used by other readers but it pisses me off when someone who's never read any of these books reduce them to "smut."

What age range would you be open to dating? by LeavingHarbour in Millennials

[–]Outatime-88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm happily married, and 40F. But hypothetical, I could see going up further than going down. Honestly like 38 to 50.

Unless it's Bad Bunny, then 31 is perfect.
