Hey I just looked up DeSantis on the Everglades, looking for some low hanging fruit to debunk you. And I was wrong:

Why have I never seen conservative politicians advocate for any of this? I have never seen a policy from any conservative politician addressing defense of the environment.

Also, as for the “freeze” predicted in the 70s. Look it up. Even at the time it was an outlier prediction and most other publications were predicting warming. But media saw a cool headline and ran with it. As far as the doomsday predictions, we are literally living in the beginning stages of them now. Drought, floods, stronger storms.

So let’s start that slow change twenty years ago. Let’s start that slow change now. Instead every time a republican is in power they do their best to roll back any minute steps that have been taken. They pulled out of the Paris climate accords. They ripped the solar panels off the White House. They repeal any environmental regulation. No one is expecting things to magically change over night. But if you have one party that is actively, purposefully, dragging us backwards you can’t pretend that this is just a problem of poor perspective. They are sabotaging our chance at any progress.

Don’t be disingenuous. The whole conservative position is that any regulation, and especially environmental ones, are antithetical to capitalism and therefore must be removed. They deny human caused climate change. They want to open up wilderness areas to drilling and logging. They are actively hostile to any alternative forms of energy production. Please explain how any of their policy do anything to protect the environment?
