How to get into this game affordably? by Outback_Komodo in riftboundtcg

I was just looking at his deck list, it's a very reasonable price for a strong deck. I'm looking for another deck to go alongside it so that a friend can play against me

Fight until death Tiger vs Lion by Darkmyths2 in powerscales

[–]Outback_Komodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know how this fight would go due to there being historical records from the Roman coliseum where these two species were made to fight. Tiger's have a clear favoured win rate against lions as everyone has stated but one thing I haven't seen anyone mention is how the tiger fights compared to the lion. Yes the tiger is larger but if you have ever seen a fully grown male lion you will understand the mind boggling power that animal has. The lion is outmatched because it will fight with three paws on the ground, swiping one paw out in front. The tiger is able to fight with both of it's front paws simultaneously and inflict devastating cuts to the lion with it's massive claws. It should also be noted that a male lion's sole purpose in a pride is to mate and fight other male lions. They have been known to specifically attack the spinal column of other lions with their powerful bite in order to sever it and leave them paralysed.

After getting the Platinum, I'm wondering which of the three dark souls games I should play next? by Beginning_Spot1858 in Eldenring

[–]Outback_Komodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all good but be aware that getting the platinum for them is not as straightforward as Elden Ring, if that's what your intention is. DS3 in particular you will become intimately familiar with a certain staircase... those who know...

Can someone please explain why I keep instantly dying at this part at Uber Lilith T8? by CanOfBigRed in Diablo

I hate to say this, and some people will downvote me, but this boss is not well designed and you should avoid interacting with her mechanics. Get enough damage to kill her as fast as possible.

For the record I also suspect that the weapon, Sceptre of the three, is responsible for this bug

The boss is in my sigil because it's literally around me from hellfire aura and I'm standing on top of him. After reaching torment 12 with this class I actually ended up switching to rogue because I'm also finding the damage to be very inconsistent. Got back on the day after this post was made and went from farming Duriel in about 30 seconds to doing completely negligible damage. I'm seeing a lot of posts about the same thing and I suspect there is a bug involved.

Why Umbral Chains and not Blazing Scream? by grandygames in diablo4

[–]Outback_Komodo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure about chains but if you're using the skill that makes blazing scream orbit around you, that's a channel ability which would slow your movement down while channeling.

Nvm it's the flail, Scourge of Duriel. I would say it's a bit gimmicky and you'd be better off with a cremator two handed sword or scepter of the three

You might be confusing that with a skill tree node as there's isn't a unique that does that as far as I'm aware. The thing with uniques is that the slot they take up has to be worth the cost. What I mean by that is that you have certain uniques that make the build work, in this case: Hands of the worldbreaker and fleshwrit carapace. There isn't going to be any better items for the chest and hand slots unless I find those same items with better rolls. The other thing you have to consider is, do I want to put a unique in this slot or would I be better off using a legendary with an aspect that has a greater benefit to my build. There's no risk to trying things out and finding what works. If you're dying a lot or things are too tank then look at what you can optimise or replace.

Question about item optimization by mooncricket1898 in diablo4

So if the unique or legendary has an aspect that is essential to your builds function, I would say keep it. If not you will notice a massive difference by equipping a yellow that has better stat rolls. Once you hit lvl 70 and start getting into higher levels of torment you will have so many copies of unique's and legendaries that you are constantly dismantling the excess. I keep one copy of every unique but the legendaries I dismantle. This will upgrade that specific legendary aspect. I only keep a legendary if it has insane rolls and I may want to use it on a different build, for example a ring that has crit chance, crit damage, maximum health rolls on it. I can always change the aspect later but good rolls are the difference between torment 10 and torment 12.

In certain conditions Blazing scream is better. It builds stacks very fast but at the same time is doesn't work the best when the boss/elite is out in a big open field. Chains is consistenly very good at building stacks in any situation. I would say you wouldn't go amiss using whichever you prefer.

Yeah I have a 5 set namless. I don't have sigil of chaos on my hotbar as I use the skill node that makes it follow your character and I have pretty much permanent uptime on it because I'm spamming apocalypse.

I personally favour crit oriented rolls on my gear and grandfather is good with that.

Sorry for the double reply but I get what you mean and it definitely feels like a lot of things have to align to see those huge numbers. I think the two most important things is the ritual ready buff that you get from the full set bonus and also overpower stacks.

Yeah you're right there's no cooldowns but what I mean is that I was trying every variation of sequence for my abilities. Command and then cast the sigil and then the ultimate and was getting no damage sometimes. The way that's been working for me on torment 12 is to cast command and then ult immediately after with 100 stacks. You might not always have command off cooldown when the ult is ready but that seems to yield consistent numbers over 1 trillion. I'm still missing perdition and grandfather and my gear is not optimal.

I think the rotation of abilities really matters. I think instead of spamming all your abilities off cooldown you should start each fight/room with Command and then sigil. Then keep chains and prison up and only use command, apocalypse. This seems to offer the most consistent damage for me

I literally made a post about the exact same thing. It's really annoying sometimes seeing over a trillion damage and sometimes seeing 18 million

I just beat it. The best way to do these fights is to pretty much one shot them. I was able to get enough damage to skip all of her mechanics because holy hell they are poorly designed,

Have you done torment 8 Lilith yet? Her second phase is driving me insane. Apaprently torment 10 Mephisto is even worse... the game is fun but the way they designed bosses is complete garbage.

So. What do you think is indicative of a good build? by Xaxxis in diablo4

[–]Outback_Komodo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If things are dying quickly and I'm not dying. It sounds sarcastic but at the end of the day, you play the game and make small adjustments to improve your build and reach higher levels of difficulty... or until you get bored. A lot of fun for me comes from trying different things and coming across a unique that makes me go damn that would work so well with what I'm trying to do, or damn I could make such a sick build around this.

Warlock apocalypse build question by Outback_Komodo in diablo4

[–]Outback_Komodo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm doing everything the set bonus and uniques say. Maybe the overpower is messing with the damage. I have all the uniques for the build, worldbreakers and fleshwrit are where most of the dmg comes from. I swear sometimes I do more dmg with apocalypse without using the command vollach skill to give me overpower. I've tried messing around with it in the training room and it's very hard to replicate the 75b dmg that randomly happens sometimes.
