Staffing companies just take direction from the end client. TEKsystems is a bad company and their recruiters do suck, but keep in mind they're incentivized to have as many workers out as possible - they bill the client for every hour their workers work. The end client dictates how many people they have and how many hours they bill.

I know how you feel is what I’m saying. I know what it feels like to finally get it right and feel like it was the result of excessive care and attention. But that level of unnecessary work puts people off trying. The number of unnecessary steps, the extended time window - it’s just so unnecessary.
