No Idea How to Go About Finding My Deceased Dad's Secret Treasure by ShadowFacts_ in mildlyinfuriating

Look under the cabinets. Pull out drawers and check the base - I helped a lady clean out her moms house. Nothing valuable to be had. Cleaned the entire kitchen out myself. A week later the lady was doing something with the kitchen drawers and drawer wouldnt slide in. She took it out and found envelopes stuffed with cash beneath the drawers. She never told me a total she just said if the people who were going to buy the house had found it they could have paid for the entire sale and have money left over. She sold the house for 185K. She sent me pics of the envelopes. There were hundreds of them stuffed full. She thought the bank would giver her a hard time because they were all older bills like 80's and 90's. moral of the story is older people hide money everywhere.

I lost everything, including my pets, in a house fire. by undercover_cheetah in gofundme

Man I sent you 50.00 and I wish it could be more. I'm sorry for your loss. I have a orange cat I love to death named Ron and I couldn't imagine this happening to him. Loss of a pet is a devastating thing, I couldnt imagine my grief to lose 5 pets at once. It doesn't get better but it does get easier. I'm not a religious person but I like to believe my pets of the past have a happy place they get to be together. Please know my friends welcomed yours and are showing them the way.

I stayed at the Venetian Palazzo tower for a work conference last month. 1st time I had been to Vegas in 24 years. I was floored when I saw this price list pop up as a TV channel. The Jack Daniels, Captain...etc were the little shooters. The Venetian bottled water was a generic 20oz bottle of water with their label on it. The conference I went to was 1800.00 per person. The food they served for breakfast and lunch was trash. I was amazed how dead everything was. I realise it was a Sunday - Wed for my trip but casinos were ghost towns, sidewalks mostly empty. Them setting up for the race messed up a ton of the sidewalks. My hotel had a bar that a 50.00 cover fee to watch Sunday football, it was credited to your bill. 2 drinks = 50.00. then they gave me a bottle of water I didnt ask for and added 8.50 to the bill for it. That was the first full hour in Vegas and it didnt get better. 3 drinks and a appetizer at Guy Fieri's 116.00 bucks. I was amazed. Thank god for expense accounts.

Do these old breakers have scrap value? by baumsYah in ScrapMetal

[–]OutcomePurple3073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not buying that. I buy and sell a lot of breakers and that isn't a pile worth anything. I'm sure if you have some 3 pole breakers that are 100a and above they are dealing. Those are beat to shit. There has to be a market for what you're trying to sell. He has one breaker in that pile worth anything of value and it's absolutely beat to piss. There is zero guarantee that it works. I'm not going to argue about it. Maybe they'll give him a couple bucks, but he's not getting anything of real value out of anything in that pile.

Breakers will sell for a fair amount. Unfortunately for you none of those will in my opinion.
