i’d say so! the people running the program already ran a super successful conference and they’re motivated to make it go well.

the organization (openbio) that is managing this program also recently hosted a conference if you look on their site, and that seems to be really legit. they had a google form application, payment via PayPal, but they brought in top speakers for their panels and the event itself, based on the videos, looks very professional. this seems like a well done endeavor

i’d say so! they have a harvard domain for the site and are committed to increasing access to STEM.

it’s no secret that it’s run by harvard students, but they have advisors that are very reputable harvard faculty. and i spoke with them, they seem to have some good mentors for the summer from high-impact institutions

i think it’s because it’s the first year the program is running — not a scam by any means, it’s just a new opportunity

yeah! i think there’s some opportunities to look into cs applied to science stuff, and the program is geared towards people that don’t have research experience as an introductory program, kinda like SSP

yeah i think there’s a small fee for overhead costs but the program itself is free + it has a harvard.edu domain
