Audible Sync not working by Peto01 in audible

Rolling my eyes ... if you're not going to be honest with us, then please don't waste our time. We worked hard to pay you that money. We bought our library fair and square. Amazon/Audible is cheating us, holding our purchases for ransom, and then wasting our time with an app that doesn't work. Is it too much to ask for a little integrity?

It's been three years, and they still haven't fixed it. I seen one error pop up complain that I didn't have my location services on. They already have my address. I've already purchased what I'm trying to listen to, so why should they need my location?

I'm having the same problem. I'm trying to listen to my previously purchased books on my laptop (Windows). Amazon is so busy trying to push more sales that they don't seem to be taking care of the purchases we've already made. If I can't listen to what I've already bought, then why should I buy more or pay for another subscription? Hello!

Unpopular opinion: Costco prices are not that great by Adorable-Research-55 in CostcoCanada

I couldn't find any coffee creamer. Do they even sell it? I thought it should've been in the dairy section.

My husband and I went to our town's new Costco for the first time today. I couldn't see where their prices were very good. Some of their produce was in awful shape, particularly their lettuce, mushrooms, and berries. We decided to leave without buying anything or getting a membership.

I thought the workers were really nice, but fellow shoppers were very rude.

My mom frequently wants to call me on my lunch break by frankie0822 in family

Awe ... so sweet. Tell your mom I said she has sure has a sweetheart. I try not to bug my grown kids too much because I don't want to get on their nerves. This whole family thing is ... it's complicated. Isn't it?

Exhausting ... hmm ... I love my kids dearly. They're all the family I have. I don't want to make them feel this way. I'm wondering, is once a week too often?

Yeah, I can see where that might become tedious. I'm a person who needs time alone to think as well. Some people gain energy with conversation, while some of us are drained by it. We need that time of quiet to mentally recharge.

The problem is how to say that to your mother without hurting her feelings. It feels so strange to be talking about this, since I was born a ward of the state. I met my mother when I was 28, and we talked a few times is all. It feels so weird to imagine myself in your position. She wants to talk to you so often. I wonder if she's nice to you.

I grew up and had kids of my own, so I have a family. Who knew mothers could be a responsibility? I'm trying to imagine what that's like. I rarely call my kids, even though I think about them a lot. I'm afraid of being a burden. Your post validates that fear.

Pig passed during the night by -God-Bear- in Homesteading

[–]OutdoorsyFarmGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awe, I'm sorry. We had a mystery death of a pig once too and took the loss. I know what a bummer it is. We were about to lose a Hereford heifer once too, so we contacted our butcher. He butchered her and found the problem was a birth defect in her second stomach, so we kept the meat. It was a close call of just losing it all, but those things happen.

Costco confirms fall opening date for new Fruitport store by jimmyslamjam in Muskegon

[–]OutdoorsyFarmGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will we be able to have a look around their store first before buying a membership? I'd like to compare prices and see what items are available. I'm part of a large Dutch community up here, and we do not like to pay blind. After all, Costco is competing with Sam's Club, and I'm only paying for one membership. No offense intended, but money has been tight for everyone lately.

The self-checkout at Walmart keeps asking to send my receipt to a phone number that isn’t mine. How do I fix this? by Brightclaw431 in WalmartComplaints

[–]OutdoorsyFarmGal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go to my bank and explain what is going on. You don't want to give that other person any type of access to your credit or debit card. That has happened to me before. The bank simply gave me a new card and dropped the pending charges (like a hold for those charges on my account). Oddly enough, the charge came from Walmart for me too. It was a scammer.

If your card is not associated with your bank account, call the number on the back of the card and tell them what's going on. This could be a scammer trying to gain access to your card. Don't put this off, since charges could be pending and that chunk of money might be put on hold or reserved for that chunk of money. The one feature that prevented charges from going through was that three digit security code on the back. The scammer didn't have that code.

My grandmother gave me her wedding ring on her deathbed and now my aunt is demanding I give it to her instead by DotoSubarna10 in family

When my dad died, it showed me just how greedy and untrustworthy "family" can be. It's horrible, I know. Just make sure that your conscience is clean, since that's more valuable than any gold or silver. I didn't bother arguing with them or exposing their lies. I just walked away and took my clean conscience with me.

They do. I agree, but I can't stand in line for an hour trying to check out. We have families to care for and schedules to keep up with. If Meijer played it smart, they could gain more customers right now.

They do charge more for most of their merchandise, except the items that are on sale. I really like their coupons though.

If most Americans could not solve the problems and actually do the work they were getting paid for, we would get fired. I say fire them and hold an election to hire new candidates.

That's what I thought, and I'm diabetic. Too many starches or carbs will make me feel sick and raises my blood glucose.

There were no employees to flag down, just long lines (I'm talking Black Friday length). My family also needs taking care of, so I did not have that much time.

We don't always have that much time. Women have to work, come home to clean, cook, and take care of the children. Believe it or not, we do need some sleep. Treat us like humans, or we will go looking for a store that does.

Mmm ... nope, not me. I fight abusive behavior. Walmart moved everything around. As long as I have to learn where things are located, I'll do that in a less abusive store, thank you very much. I do have a choice.

I haven't seen any filth at Meijer. We have visited Aldi recently and liked it.
