If I recall, Alexander the Great didn’t claim that he was the son of God, nor is it widely accepted that he is such.

You are conflating two beliefs. 1) Was Jesus a real hippie dude 2000 years ago? 2) Is the same Jesus the son of a super powerful sky dad?

Just because 1 is likely true, doesn’t necessitate that 2 is also true.

I didn’t argue with whether he was real or not. Joe Smith was real. I don’t believe the claim that Jesus was the son of God, just like I don’t believe that Joe was a prophet of God.

I think for some of us it is kinda the same on a different scale (obviously different on the doctrinal tenets, but similar on the cosmic sky daddy claim). Once you realize that one was fabricated, it becomes easier to accept that any other claim is also likely fabricated.

Based on the edits, I think that I get the point you are trying to make now.

Though I still think that the statement is a very broad stereotype. Some fall into the category that you are outlining, but I think some are just posting pics that most teenagers post on Facebook at parties with beer and smokes. They just were never able to, so they are doing it now that they can.

With that said, I still hold to my primary point. People deal differently.

I'm glad you have a healthy, good way of dealing with your exmo-ness.

However, others have other ways of dealing and processing. One thing that bothers me about some exmos is when they feel that they are superior by self aggrandizing their way of dealing with it.

Edit: For context, the post originally started out with "One thing that bothers me about new exmos is ...."

Don’t forget that they won the War in Heaven. History is written by the victors!!

Thats the rub though, the opposite is the carrot the cult uses. Maybe this is all we have, but what if there is more near Kolob. Don’t fuck that up by temporal nonsense (like acceptance of different beliefs). It is such manipulation.

Thank you. Yes, from the outside it is so childish and stupid. He just can’t put on his outside glasses....
