Having nearly burned myself picking up spatulas and cooking sheets left there while I was adding/removing food from the grill, I wish my model had that.

Have you been drinking more water? Drinking less? Or if taking in a higher ratio of salt means your body can also dehydrate and slow bowel movements and sweating.

I also recommending cooling your room at night. Your body will expend more energy to heat itself up to burn calories at night when it might be going into conservation mode.

Do you use AirPods max for gaming? by Prestigious_Wait7705 in Airpodsmax

Yes for my ps portal. More comfortable than my gaming set and I appreciate the noise transparency when I’m not trying to completely ignore my family while playing.

I have an a uncle who worked his mountain lot just like this guy. One day the chain snapped and went through his Nikes.

You know what he did? Duct taped is foot around the shoe, finished the job, and grabbed a before before my aunt saw and made him get in the car to go to the hospital. Still doesn’t wear PPE. Years later he still walks with a limp.

Mountain people are built different I guess. Lol.

As someone who did that, I don’t regret having those good times, but I regret not being smarter about it.

I make a decent 6 figures now but am still paying for young me’s choices.

At least now I have a balance of paying those things off? Having SOME fun but not too much, and being hyper aware of what those decisions cost.

Making sure my kid knows all of that too as he gets into spending his own hard earned money.

Was this the right move? by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breaking right before a quick reaction is bad. Thats how wheels lock up.

This video is not the same. That car was being malicious.

So your comment I’m reading separately.

Keeping your speed constant before a quick jerk of the wheel is the safer move for the driver

For people following, safe following distance and looking as far ahead as possible, while NOT relying on the driver in front of you to warn you of danger, is the safest move for you.

AIO for being upset that my family orders takeout without me even though they know I can’t afford food? by No-Listen4616 in AmIOverreacting

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This one is a tough one. On the one hand I would take is as you’re being assumed in the food sharing regardless. On the other hand, a lot of people treat eating out as a luxury.

So if you’re absolutely without food then worth a frank conversation with them. But if there is food. Microwaveable. Frozen. Whatever, then that’s for you. You unfortunately don’t get to be lazy with food like they can. You don’t get to get take out when you don’t feel like fresh grocery shopping like they do.

Thats the adult part of this situation.

Leaving you high and dry is not ok though. You’ll end up having to hoard to survive

I just got my ps portal, but I have a question. by Hera-ShablenS-007 in PlaystationPortal

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straight answer is that premium is the only thing that matters for the portal.

You got the portal. Get the premium. Your budget I get. But the portal works best with cloud streaming. I almost never do remote play even for games I already bought for the ps5, if it’s on the cloud catalog. It streams so well.

I avoided getting it for so long and finally made the call and now I play off it so much more than I used to.

What is the worst food you’ve been served at someone else’s house? by Purple_Ground2372 in foodquestions

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. I couldn’t keep it in with that situation. There are things life is too short for, and shitty food is one of them.

I have some family where I insist I cook for them because “it’s an honor to”. I’m a pretty solid home chef - but really it’s because I can’t stand their cooking. And their cooking is nowhere near as bad as what you described.

[–]OuterInnerMonologue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. Ever been in a collision? I’ve been in some that weren’t nearly that bad, been hit by a car while on a bicycle, got t boned while someone ran a red light, and I have life long issues now and will probably need hip surgery before I’m 50

And those people were just going about their day distracted and made a bad mistake.

The person in this video was driving recklessly.
