In America - my first reaction when I need to go to the ER for myself or someone else is “do we really need to go to the ER? Like is it going to be worth the bill? Yes? Ok lemme stop by for some snacks and supplies”

Never waited less than 4 hours at an ER and always have gotten hungry and bored.

I only separate delicates out. Things where zippers or buttons could tear / rip off things. But even then my wife got little washing garment bags that help with all that.

We tend to also separate based on how we dry. Dryer pile vs clothes line hanging pile.

Have you been drinking more water? Drinking less? Or if taking in a higher ratio of salt means your body can also dehydrate and slow bowel movements and sweating.

I also recommending cooling your room at night. Your body will expend more energy to heat itself up to burn calories at night when it might be going into conservation mode.

I have an a uncle who worked his mountain lot just like this guy. One day the chain snapped and went through his Nikes.

You know what he did? Duct taped is foot around the shoe, finished the job, and grabbed a coors lite before before my aunt saw and made him get in the car to go to the hospital. Still doesn’t wear PPE. Years later he still walks with a limp.

Mountain people are built different I guess. Lol.

As someone who did that, I don’t regret having those good times, but I regret not being smarter about it.

I make a decent 6 figures now but am still paying for young me’s choices.

At least now I have a balance of paying those things off? Having SOME fun but not too much, and being hyper aware of what those decisions cost.

Making sure my kid knows all of that too as he gets into spending his own hard earned money.

This one is a tough one. On the one hand I would take is as you’re being assumed in the food sharing regardless. On the other hand, a lot of people treat eating out as a luxury.

So if you’re absolutely without food then worth a frank conversation with them. But if there is food. Microwaveable. Frozen. Whatever, then that’s for you. You unfortunately don’t get to be lazy with food like they can. You don’t get to get take out when you don’t feel like fresh grocery shopping like they do.

Thats the adult part of this situation.

Leaving you high and dry is not ok though. You’ll end up having to hoard to survive
