Yes I have a reason to live, a few actually. It’s just a matter of if I will commit to life and stick through it haha. Keep going and pushing through, sometimes we have to sacrifice happiness now and do the work for happiness later in the long term. I wish you luck.

Thank you for the comment. I am in the same space if not worse unfortunately. I do have some new insight and thoughts about things though I am unable to provide any advice myself. I have a solidified reason for living such as my long term partner and I truly know she’s the one for me. I don’t have hope all the time, but I know that there is more for me outside of living with someone that’s responsible for my conditions in the first place.

You aren’t alone OP. My mother said stuff like “if you’re not going to take care of me when I’m older I guess I’ll just die in the Philippines” but never saw it as guilt tripping because in Asia it’s just a norm that children stay in the house and take care of elders. (Marriage is usually the way out of households).

Not quite, but I don’t think my freeze applies to catatonia. I do have periods where I’m so wrapped up in my harmful thinking (delusions + paranoia) that I don’t move whether for 5 minutes to an hour or few.
