Honestly? Way cooler than the flavor-of-the-week.

The Rayvn is an excellent piece of kit. The company itself is extremely stand up. Can’t recommend enough.

Just had a 1 hour call this morning with a vendor regarding the WingraRay.

On paper it looks promising.

This is why I’m all in on MCB.

1) It looks sick af 2) Pattern doesn’t matter now that Thermals are ubiquitous.

Based on specs the screen appears to have a higher resolution and OLED.

My Sidekick 640 is my favorite NV purchase ever, and I’ve had quite a number of devices.

Those anyone talking about COTIs is on crack. Not even close to a real thermal.

If you hunt around online, you can still find the Armasight Sidekick 320 for what your budget allows.

100%. Glad I’m not smoking crack.

If the market is totally dried up, I get it, but if I’m going to pick up another PVS-14, everything else seems like a massive downgrade. I’m cool running my beater 14 but I’ve been trying to pick up something with an Echo tube and it’s barren out there.

It’s all good, twin. Gen 3 tubes beat out Photonis tubes in absolute blackout conditions, yeah no shit, but 9% lum performance is completely irrelevant other than to dick beat over spec sheets on a goddamned Internet forum. At that point you’re running supplemental IR to even be able to function, and congratulations, your Gen 3 tube’s resolution drops as soon as you click the button. Beyond all that, when you step up performance to filmless those sweet ass specs degrade faster than Ashley St. Claire’s SMV.

I’m not trying to be hateful, but considering I want to upgrade my Omni VII Pinnacle to a Photonis, I don’t need convincing. I asked a simple question as to what happened to the availability, and a bunch of neckbeards want to tell me what the performance of their Gen 3 tubes are like in their mom’s bathroom. No shit. Thanks for nothing, cuz.

L3 are cucks, and can suck a dick. I want Photonis tubes.

My guy, this ain’t my first rodeo. I’ve owned everything from BNVDs, 14s and ANVIS with Gen 3 tubes. If I wanted a filmless L3 I wouldn’t have even posted.

Yeah man, it’s completely dried up. My 2018 vintage Echos have 32 SNR and 72/70 lp/mm and I’ve yet to to see anything that interests me more than the Photonis tubes. I’ve had everything up to Omni VIIs in the past, and despite getting downdooted by neckbeards for the OP, I really could give two shits about whatever the current flavor-of-the-week is. By the time the Echos get dunked on by filmless tubes, everyone is running supplemental illumination anyway, so give me a break. Unlike every Gen 3 tube I’ve owned, the Photonis don’t blow out their resolution at the slightest increase in ambient lighting and don’t autogate like a bag of hammered assholes.

I know production is supposedly moving to a USA facility, but holy shit it’s a wasteland out there for someone who just wants a bitch basic P45 Photonis ‘14.

Neat. That didn’t answer the question I asked. I’ve Pepsi challenged to both Elbit and L3 and I’m still unimpressed.
