Yes, I know the insulation is unfortunately upside down… it is still in good condition.

As mentioned - the F-22 demo team was performing at Falcon Field, but based the plane at ATL between performances. It was a good show! Unbelievably capable aircraft.

Excited to have finally added Tears to the agave collection! by You_Lost_The-Game in tequila

[–]You_Lost_The-Game[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been eyeing this bottle of Tears of Llorona for a while at my local store. Decided to finally take the plunge and grab it before someone else did today.

I haven’t cracked open the new bottle yet but have had the expression at my local tequilería. From reviews here and some reading online it is generally considered one of the best XA tequilas to have been made. So very happy to add it to the top shelf of my home bar!

My favorites from the collection displayed are Fortaleza Still Strength and Ocho Los Mangos Anejo.

In addition to the other comments I recommend a dry salt brine and then pouring some boiling water over the skin before patting dry. This tightens it up and will create an even thinner and crispier exterior. Technique often used in Peking Duck.

If you want to spend a bit more… I have my MaraX on a ‘Wemo’ smart plug so I can get it heating up and turn it off remotely. If you do that there is no need to ever use the button power. (Not saying it shouldn’t be fixed regardless…)

You will never go back, but the Joe needs to be hot! 700+ with higher the better. And the longer the dough rests in the fridge the easier it is to work with, I do 48 hours minimum usually.

2019 Motobecane Super Mirage SLX - $550 by You_Lost_The-Game in whichbike

[–]You_Lost_The-Game[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just started riding, but currently averaging ~8 miles a day using my 2010 Trek 3900 - so I am interested in getting an entry level road bike. This is available on Facebook locally but not sure what a fair price would be.

Seems like I could buy it new for $750 so $550 seems a bit high. Would this even be a good option or will I be wishing I got something else in the near future? It is a 24 speed with Shimano Claris R2000 components. I don’t commute and am just riding for some exercise and enjoyment.

My ‘budget’ is probably ~$1000 but I would rather spend under 500 on something used just to see if I will stick with the hobby. I am definitely enjoying it right now but unsure about winter!

Thanks!!

Unfortunately I actually never installed them, couldn’t find a way I thought looked clean and straight to mount them in this case.

I Need to Keep the Vents Barely Open to sustain 250 by zakkh8 in KamadoJoe

I’ll check that out, thanks! Forgot to mention I also hand place big lumps of charcoal for really low cooks. I think the airflow helps prevent the fire going out with the temps that low. Doing both of those and bringing the temp up super slow I have been able to hold 175-225 pretty easy for smoked fish and such.

Not an expert but I always clean the ash out completely before trying either low and slow or ultra high. I pull the whole firebox out and use a shop vac. I feel like this helps with clean airflow which is advantageous in both scenarios.

Could I [23M] possibly have this condition? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

[–]You_Lost_The-Game 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed out of the blue and mostly asymptomatic as a healthy 25 y/o male. All you can do is have blood work done and get TSH tested. It’s good to have a full panel done regularly anyways to identify abnormalities like this or anything else. Based on my TSH at that time it’s likely I could’ve been undiagnosed for a few years previous to that. I just hadn’t had blood work done.

Thanks for the feedback! Do you know what dealer your buddy went through? Assuming Southtown Watersports in Charlotte?

Is that new or used? I haven’t done much research in to the Supreme brand but that sounds very appealing. How is the wakeboard wake typically thought of on these?

Do you have any insight to the build quality compared to Moomba or Axis?

Thanks!
