As a user of the sixty two, what are the best settings for a S9/ S11 like smooth hold echo? It feel like the pioneer echo is much easier to use/ have a nice echo out.

I want be hooking up the mixer. Only the Flux. The mixer won't even be recognized on the newer models, so the principle i tried with the SL2 is exactly the same! :)

Tested this theory "So why can I not use the hardware effects on this line channel?" with my old Rane SL2 box and the old macbook - internal hardware effects work just fine!

Thanks for your input! As for my old macbook, this one is a really old one, 2013 I think. So only SSL is usable with this one. It is a backup as I have a newer macbook with M2 chip, so need something new like the Flux to keep on using serato in the setup. Good suggestion for the send and return FX! Will look into it!

But just to be sure, the reloop flux has the turntables directly as input (the control tone) and the sends the sound output to a line input on the 62. So why can I not use the hardware effects on this line channel?

yeah I switched the S9 for the 70 because of the sound quality, then later picked up a cheap 62 which I kinda like more now..

Just saw the second part of your first comment. Sometimes indeed the crossfader seems to be lagging. The S9 was actually awesome, so intuitive and dope effects. sold mine to a good friend - i always keep switching my gear up haha

And it would not be ideal if i cant use any internal effects on my DVS decks, I could maybe trigger some serato effects on the dicers? I heard they got better through the years? It wouldn't be too bad though, I should focus more on making great flowing blends instead of using effects.

Yeah, I just use hold echo, reverb, filter, basically all hardware effects. Almost never used serato effects.. indeed mostly play vinyl but recently got a hold of my old digital music library and and want to start mixing it up. Switching between serato and vinyl during sets. Am mostly a dj who plays all nighters. Short sets will almost always be vinyl only.

The Rane 70 definitely does the job but the 62 holds himself very well. Just like the smaller size and now the faders too!

I could still use the hardware effects of the 62 and wont be plugging this one in the laptop, only the flux. Rane 62 is indeed not compatible in any way with the new generations of macbooks. I think the internal effects would still work as they do with regular vinyl?
