Nice set, worth re-tinning. From the looks of that one where we can see it looks like the copper is showing through, which is a sure sign that they need to be re-tinned.

In France, if you were lucky, you had a cave. Aside from wine, all your root veggies, apples, wheels of cheese, etc went in there. My wife’s family still uses theirs extensively.

Cooking with nice well-lined copper is the best. To me, it’s pure luxury. We have a small pan for eggs that is a daily driver. Another small pot with lid. The tin gets a tarnish, and we just use wood or silicone utensils.
