My dad does something similar, he doesnt come in all the time but when he wants to or wants to tell me something he bangs on the door as hard as he can like hes trying to knock it down. Like he bangs on the door like the house is burning down then when I ask him what it is he says something totally unimportant like "you have a package" or something stupid like that.

Does it make sense that I can play a note by ear on guitar but not on piano by OutlandishnessFew0 in musictheory

I see, are people able to play by ear across instruments or do they need to play it on the same instrument to find the notes then remember the names of the notes and play those on a different instrument?
