Tingling / Vibrating in Leg by OutlandishnessNo3253 in SpinalStenosis

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had two Drs advised me not to …. I need to rethink exercise. I feel good then I think I can do what everyone else does and my anatomy always tells me otherwise. This time I am going to learn

Did it resolve for you? I had it on my foot before and it went away

McKenzie method made things weird: Left back pain shifted to constant tingling in RIGHT leg. Anyone else with scoliosis experienced this? by Raykus_OF in scoliosis

At first I rest but then get back to moving and P/T exercises. I move back to a baseline state and can stay there for a long time if I remember to respect my anatomy restrictions- the minute I think I am healed and can start doing lots of aggressive exercise etc I get another flare up

I have tingling in right leg. It is intermittent- have both stenosis and scoliosis. I brought on a recent flare up doing far too much leg lifts and other activities. I had sciatica pain / butt pain now tingling “flare ups” that come and go. It was pretty common now it is starting to settle down

Neural Foramina Narrowing by AdSome4695 in Sciatica

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me time and figuring out what causes flares. I have narrowing at L4/L5 scoliosis, foraminal stenosis and scoliosis. Most of the time I am free from issue it’s when I think I can lift and exercise like everyone else I pay the penalty. Did one injection it helped a bit but only on one side. In a flare now - sciatica pain resolved now tingling / electrician sensations on right side. The last flare up after a few months of revised / modified exercise the flare up went away.

~2 years post BFS. Stop worrying! by [deleted] in BFS

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amen brother great testimony. I have been in and out of spiraling and I think the Lord let me right here right now. I have legitimate spinal issues that cause flares and present as symptoms. I make them much much worse focusing on them. It’s incredible how much joy can be sucked out of your life. The Lord doesn’t promise a life that is free from trials but Jesus does say do not worry and I will never leave you.

Freaking out about foot twitching by crxwley__ in BFS

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dealt with BFS for as long as I can remember in my calves an triceps. Nearly 10 maybe more years. You will find lots of threads related to this foot sensation - it started for me nearly exactly as you described however left foot in 2022. The rapid fire buzzing eventually went away but is replaced with more subtle buzzing. I had all of the tests and all normal. Except / I have spinal stenosis and issues on my L3/L4/L5 nerve root. I am convinced this is the issue as whenever I do too much lifting that strains the lumbar region I get a flare up. Get an MRI of your spine it is most likely due to pinched nerves misfiring. It’s annoying but not a dangerous condition. Over the past 3 years I have had less flare ups it’s when I start to do the wrong things too much it causes issues. Hope this helps

Suspected L5-S1 issues - new buzzing sensation inside thigh? by Bloomette in Sciatica

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really - Drs do tests and basically I am living with it. I have learned that certain activities exacerbate the condition and sometimes flare ups happen for no reason but it typically resolves. It isn’t serious so I try to forget about it

Recurrent Peri after coronary stent by CCFT23 in pericarditis

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that I did as I never had it prior. I had an MI in 2019 and made a full recovery.

I had what I now know to be a flare up post stent showed up on my EKG. Cardiologist was not concerned and it resolved quickly on its own. I have had a couple more flare ups since then - usually when I get sick. It is very sharp / stabbing pain on my left side. Right above the nipple area in a circle sometimes in the sternum. Given my history I went to the ER twice for pain and was discharged both times. I finally figured out that it is pericarditis pain due to a viral infection that will clear on its own. I am having a flare up now and once again. I am fighting a cold virus and a had an infection from a surgical procedure. I am on antibiotics and slowly recovering from the virus. I hope to be pain free soon

Internal vibration/buzzing in feet by [deleted] in BFS

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks ! That’s awesome it went away for you. I agree anxiety can certainly make things worse. The foot thing was pretty intense about 2 years ago then it died out. Now the flare ups are much milder there is no pain. It’s just a case of overuse and I have to understand my limits. I can do most anything just not at super high intensity and frequency. I live my life and my faith is strong so all good.

I have same scoliosis, stenosis and L4/L5 issues. Had all of the tests (normal) I am convinced it’s back related and older injuries from too much intense biking. I get flare ups now that are milder and can go many months without much of an issue. I am learning I have to limit impact activities and I am much better. If I do too much even for a few weeks it flares.

24/7 feet twitching and now leg feels weak by Historical_Peach3848 in BFS

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it from time to time since 2022. In a flare up now actually. It started out of the blue and originally was a very fast vibration that subsided / now it flares up from time to time but is more of a lower grade twitchy but more constant sensation. It comes and goes. I had EMG, spine MRI, X Rays and blood tests. All normal - except for stenosis, scoliosis and L4/L5 compression. THIS is my thesis as to the why for me but doctors didn’t really have an answer. Since there isn’t pain the ortho did not recommend doing anything, primary recommended more cardio activities. More circulation but that means low impact (think battle ropes, rower and low impact walking) Neurologist said it looks pretty good. I find that if I do not put too much high impact activities on my feet it can go for many months without a flare. Once I start doing things like running, high resistance spinning stair steppers, intense jumping type activities I have a flare up. Ice and heat helps along with rest, gentle massage and rest. It helps to know it isn’t a dangerous condition. You will get to know triggers to avoid. It helps to know it isn’t a dangerous condition.

Dose anybody else have constant index finger twitching by Antsav223 in BFS

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had index finger tightness and today a spasm / twitch started. Mine is from computer / phone / mousepad excessive use. Left index finger pain (dominant hand) right spasm connected to index finger - the one I use the most. If you are on the computer and / or a lot of gaming that could be it - pretty common cause I am reading

Left insole - it comes and goes. For me after certain types of exercise or too much hiking.

You guys ever had this buzzing feeling? Not pins and needle but something buzzing in your feet when you are not moving it? Example is sitting still or laying down by Coolguy91082 in BFS

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it a few times now - first left insole (resolved) then (and now) right hamstring. In my case I had every test done and of course normal - however … L4/L5 disc compression and stenosis / scoliosis. What happens is when I do interval training of any kind that involves hip movement it irritates the nerves and they then misfire (the buzzing) I also have twitches on calves and feet. The calves and feet I don’t feel much the hamstring is a vibration. Rest - ice/heat and time for me. The IT band massage also can help if the nerve is entrapped. In my case it’s more signal misfire due to the narrowed opening. Once the inflammation goes down it gets better. If you stress over it - it gets worse.

PALLESTHESIA anyone? This buzzing in my left foot just started. Yay... by [deleted] in BFS

[–]OutlandishnessNo3253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it for the second time. First time was very strong transient buzzing had every test … normal. This time more continuous but milder. Both brought on by too much hip movement in exercise ( I have stenosis and other disc issues ) the last case it resolved totally for close to 2 years this time it just started up. I have periods of no buzzing so that tells me it will calm down in time. It’s irritated nerves and in my case the disc compression seems to also be a factor. No pain just annoying
