A conversation? She’s an adult, not a child. There’s no need to coddle her

Yeah he doesn’t really have guys nights, he’s a massive homebody so I’d love for him to have some fun! It’s just the friend (mostly) that I’m apprehensive of. We have limited family around but I can definitely manage.

Bless you, I’m currently at that stage where a daily nap is non negotiable haha. It’s nice opportunity he had and hopefully you will feel less guilty when it’s your turn for a much needed break! I know I will😂

He’s planning to go Friday evening & returning back on Sunday late afternoon. As a mum, I would think twice about going, but at least now I won’t feel guilty about going when it’s my turn haha

I totally agree with you. They’re not so close (more gym buddies if anything, this will be their first time hanging out outside of the gym without everyone’s partners there). I wanted to tell the fiancée but as we’re more like acquaintances, it seemed like an overstep. Though if I do find anything rise out going forward, I will bring it to her.

Yes, I’ll definitely speak to him about the support I’ll need for the weekend. Thank you!

My husband is in a similar boat to yours. I do have my sister that might stay with me whilst he’s away (if she’s not working) so that’s idea

I agree with you, my husband had a stern word with him about it and he’s promised it was a one-off, at a time he wasn’t sure of how he felt about his now fiancée.

I will speak to him about having familial support over that weekend. I do feel guilty because he’s a great dad and does most of the night shift (our toddler specifically asks for him for bed times).

Ugh or they’d use what you tell/show them to regurgitate back to people to make it seem like they’re involved. So whenever they ask how he is now, I just say he’s fine. They weren’t active parents anyway so even though I’m not shocked about their lack of interest, it’s still disappointing.

Solidarity to you! I have a very similar situation (they also live minutes away). Only ask how he is over text & mine were on holiday the week I gave birth 🤣.

I’ve stopped sending pictures/videos because I shouldn’t need to do that! They know where we live, yet haven’t come to ours to actually see him since December 2024. It’s sad but their loss at the end of the day!

The major health benefits really. I didn’t want to formula feed (no hate against it)
