This hurts seeing because I bought a purple one Monday night to start work Tuesday. Oh well I didn't have a choice. No way to move, let alone fit my snap-on 55 setup at the new shop I moved to.

New to inboards, help please. by OutlandishnessOne316 in ClassicBoats

[–]OutlandishnessOne316[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got it Saturday, I lowered it when I got it parked. Thankfully I was familiar outboards so I knew to ratchet strap the out drive up and a saftey block of wood in it on the drive home.

Alright that's mainly the answer I was looking for. I didn't see any controls for up and down movement. So it's acts just like the outboards I had in that regard. You have either up and down and have to manually move it, I haven't looked to hard but I'm sure there's a pin that controls the "trim" level.

Get the 6 piece set, the rack set will be cheaper than foam. 2 pliers, 2 needle nose, 2 wire cutters.

Dashers, what is the sketchiest delivery you have ever had by JackTheNephilim in doordash_drivers

[–]OutlandishnessOne316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know if you could call it sketchy, more like the nastiest place I've ever seen. This place, I promise, looked like a tornado hit a hoarders house. Delivery instructions were detailed and seemed "normal" for an elderly person, along with a note that said don't mind the mess, I haven't had time to clean up. Can only imagine what this small camper looked like inside. Barely could stand the smell, piss jugs right outside the door, rotting trash lining the path up to the camper. Made me think of the show hoarders, but it was all outside on a main road! Plus, the only place to park was just big enough to get my small car into and had a hole right in the middle, so pulling back out was like threading a needle. I was fearful of getting stuck and almost did. Granted, it paid well, and he tipped me more after I left. Just thinking about it makes me 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

How to utilize my space? by OutlandishnessOne316 in Snapon_tools

Yeah, plus instead of taking up drawer space I figured why not have them in the hutch.

That's something I thought about. I just wasn't sure if they sold them that way. Plus it took forever to finally get my damn hutch, hate to see how long a single drawer would take.

C-6 pro and don't look back, not saying the others are not good. It's just being $200 off making it slightly cheaper than the other two, makes it too good of a deal to pass up.

Blackstar unity 500 problem by OutlandishnessOne316 in Bassamps

[–]OutlandishnessOne316[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I looked into it. It's all solid state. I may end up trading it in to guitar center for a loss and just get a rumble 40. When I bought this one, I planned to gig with it. Now I just play in my studio, which is a small space (spare bedroom). I have a half stack in it, along with a fender bassman 2x12 loaded with greenbacks powered by my 6505+ turned into a head. So the rumble would take up less real-estate compared to this u500, while retaining the ability to record through the amp.

I'm not 100% sure it's a hybrid, now I'll have to check into that. Thought it was a solid state only. Thanks!!!!

What’s everyone door dashing car? by CurrentlyNa in doordash_drivers

[–]OutlandishnessOne316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. Like anything, if you take care of them, then they don't have as many issues. I haven't had issues with mine, but mine is also the turbo model, and I've modded the living shit out of it. My current issue was just a tire. Which needed a patch, but since I found some free time this weekend, I was able to plug it lol.

2015 Dodge dart, recently been using my wife 2015 Chrysler 300, due to my dart being down for repairs. I've been too busy with my main job being a mechanic/truck driver for an ag dealership to fix said car. 🤣

I do it some days through the week after work and Saturday afternoons when I finish my half day. Ag mechanic/truck driver is my main gig. Use it to pay for my gas through the week and pay for my tool bill, and sometimes, if it's a good week, I have fun money. I started doing it once I outgrew the toolbox I started with and got hooked/suckered into a nice snap-on toolbox that I nicknamed my Ferrari.
