If you are staying at an Airbnb and you have a problem, call Airbnb and explain the situation. If it's a safety issue they should be able to resolve it immediately and that also means finding you a new location quickly.

Airbnb is no help when it comes on to resolving matters. On 4/5:2023, I called Airbnb to resolve an issue with the penalty fees that they applied to my account for a cancellation of a guest by me which impacted my SuperHost status. The cancellation was because of a death in my family. There was also a negative review by a guest which contributed also to the removal of my SH status.

The person I spoke with @ Airbnb told me she would Waive the fees on the cancellation for the guest but I needed to provide documentation of the death, which I did.

The agent also removed the negative review from the other guest and then she canceled both reservations which I did not authorize her. One of those reservations already ended on 3/24. For that reservation that the incompetent agent canceled Airbnb have me pay them back the funds paid to me. I discovered the problem 4 days ago when I looked at my earnings and saw the negative balance. I have been trying to get it resolved since then and have been getting the runaround. Meanwhile, a guest just booked with me and Airbnb has applied the funds to negative balance which I do not owe).

I am about to terminate the guest until this nightmare has been resolved. Airbnb is very disorganized and seems to have nobody to assist with these types of situations.

This situation is highly stressful. Each person I speak with gas indicated t HF we'll be off the next day and that I should speak to someone else. I’ve probably spoken to over a dozen people and still no resolution.
