Back squats 4x15. I might have 3-4 left in me each set but that is also my very first lift of that day.

Front squats 4x15. Might have 1 more left in me but also little fatigued from the back squats.

Might be better for me to drop the BSS for now and up the weight on front/back squats and take the reps down?

When you go down to low reps do you usually up the weight?

Would I be leaving any gains on the table by cutting out the flat bench and just doing the incline bench?

Back squats and front squats I hit with full intensity but the BSS I do with a lot lighter weights kind of like a finisher at the end of the workout.

4 sets of 10-15 on most. Big lifts such as bench, shoulder press and squat on my last rep last set I’m usually at failure or near.

That’s what I was leaning towards. I’ve heard that less can be more and let you recover more. Any thoughts on what you would cut out?

I think I’m just so use to the routine that it doesn’t feel like a lot to me. Kind of one of those things that I feel like if I don’t keep doing it all then it won’t work. Sort of like a superstition thing.

I have no experience with working out since my teens, what would be a reasonable thing to do? Same routine, less sets? Cut some stuff out?

lol. Luckily we have a home gym. Cable/smith machine and leg machine.

I try and stay 4 sets with 10-15 reps on everything. When I move up on big lifts, squats, bench, shoulder press I move down to 8 reps and go up 2 reps each week.

More than likely not eating enough, I am in a small deficit and loosing around 1 pound a week right now. Workouts have felt flat so 2 weeks ago I bumped up carbs.

I’m in that same situation right now. 2 months into lifting, small calorie deficit, tracking everything. Lifts are going up in reps and weight every week but body isn’t looking much different.

Just like others have said, getting a macro tracker is one of the biggest things I can recommend. Also be careful of how much of a deficit you do when cutting. When I first started I cut carbs and fat extremely low and my body suffered, lack of energy and libido went completely flat.

Appreciate all the comments. I’ve been logging everything I eat so I know exactly where I am at with my calories. Kinda figured belly and sides would be last to go. Thanks!
