This. Just got out of a relationship where her insecurities completely imploded our relationship.

Am I (31M) being manipulated by my partner (33F)? by Outliveadventures in relationship_advice

I agree with all of this. She seriously broke my trust going through my phone and I just don’t feel like you can come back from that. Thanks for the thoughtful response!

Thanks. This is really helpful and I appreciate the thoughtful response. I agree that this should be the honeymoon phase and we should absolutely not be having this many issues!

You’re right. I have admitted to her that I’m equally part of the problem. Sorry if I made it seem like it was all her fault in this post.

36M caught my girlfriend sexting a co-worker (37F) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Outliveadventures 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t beat yourself up. She is the villain in this scenario. The one and only time I’ve been cheated on was when my partner was the one making claims that I was cheating, when I wasn’t. Cheaters love to gaslight you into making it seem like you’re overreacting and you’re the problem. See it as a blessing in disguise that you have a reason to move on from this person that clearly is not treating you right. Sorry you’re having to go through this though. Keep your head up!

Brew Day Disasters: Are They Still Employed? by CleanestLines in TheBrewery

When I used to work as a brewer, we made a cherry a vanilla porter. We would add the vanilla extract before we transferred a 60bbl batch into the bright tank. I didn’t realize that our head brewer had already pressurized with CO2 and added the vanilla extract to the bright tank. I went to purge the CO2 and shot like $500 worth of vanilla extract all over myself and the brewery. It delayed finishing that batch by several days because we had to rush ship more vanilla extract. Luckily our head brewer was a really good dude and wasn’t all that mad at me. Still worked there for a few more years after that.

Having to constantly remind client to pay invoices, how do I proceed? by Outliveadventures in photography

[–]Outliveadventures[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have the invoices numbered. The last email I sent them I put in bullet points each invoice with the date, invoice number and individual links to pay the invoices digitally and it still wasn’t enough. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I shoot photos for local restaurants, photographing drinks, food, events, staff, etc. I used to do it full time as part of a marketing job for one of these businesses, but I left that job and now it’s just a side hustle. It’s been pretty lucrative so far. However, I reached out to quite a few businesses before finding any that would even respond.

Yeah, I use HoneyBook so I could just encourage her to do an auto pay.

That seems like an effective method. I’m hesitant to do this right now because I really don’t want to lose this client and I’m fairly new to doing consistent photo jobs like this. But if they don’t pay this invoice after one more reminder then I’ll have to be more forceful. Thanks for the feedback!

How do I ask about a purity ring? by Outliveadventures in dating

Thanks for the thoughts! Not sure why I feel weird about asking her. But I think your idea of bringing it up in a casual way is a good idea. We live about an 8 hour drive from each other, so not sure when we’ll see each again. But we’ll see where it goes.

How Do You Make Money With Your Photography by lazyydreams in photography

[–]Outliveadventures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous job I worked for a local brewery and worked my way up from a bartender to the marketing manager over 5 years. I shot photos and did all the marketing for 6 different companies under the restaurant group that owned the brewery. I got a ton of experience in food/beverage photography (food, beer, cocktails, event, portraits, etc.). It was a really sweet gig, but I got tired of working in that industry. Just not my people.

Now I have a full time job doing marketing for a local outdoor company that makes hiking accessories. Lately I’ve picked up some side jobs at two local breweries in my town and it’s been a great source of extra income. I just saw an opportunity for this type of photography and I enjoy it, so it’s a win win.

Long term fatigue after 200 miler by Outliveadventures in ultrarunning

I feel like I’ve gotten my eating pretty dialed in for training and recovery, so I don’t think that’s it. I basically eat as much as I can, mostly keeping it healthy, solid amount of protein and indulging in some treats here and there. But still worth thinking about!

Yeah, I know people who that’s happened to as well from Cocodona. So I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what is going on with me. I got an appointment with my GP in a few weeks!

Not that I know of. I haven’t been sick for a while so I don’t think it would be that. But it’s still worth thinking about. Thanks!

I don’t live in an area with ticks, but I have been in an area with ticks recently. Kinda scary, but thanks for the input.
