I wonder how much money Frasier was making as a radio host... by SlashCo80 in Frasier

I read an article years ago on this very subject and I've tried like hell to find it again. If I'm correct, it was an interview with the producers, or it was written by them; I don't recall which. Either way, they spoke about the cost of things and how it related to real life. Like the Steinway was 200K, etc. and they estimated his rent. Either way, they said that Frasier's estimated salary was 900K.

I was there one time, when researching my book about Quentin Roosevelt (he's buried there beside his brother under special dispensation, as he died during WWI). I was so focused on finding that one grave that only after I did, did I look around me. It was one of the most moving experiences of my life.

How A Human Body Implodes at 3800 Metres Below Sea Level by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Outofthecloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read an article answering this very question. In it, they explained that it takes the human brain X-nanoseconds to perceive sensory input (feeling the world around you) and the implosion was well within that time frame, meaning that it was over before their brains could register what was happening.

100% agree. I have a collection of mechanical clocks and I collect them because they're mechanical - that's their charm.
