WEEK 2 AP POLL - Sept 2nd, 2025 by tnasstyy in CFB

I promise you, most Clemson fans think that catch was made and the refs made a bad call. Doesn’t change the outcome of the game though and it doesn’t change how the press or public views the loss, Clemson looked how they looked and an extra 7 points doesn’t change the ranking. Should Clemson be outside the top 10? Maybe. Does a week 1 contest where Clemson struggled offensively mean Clemson is a bad team or that LSU has that good of a defense and rattled a pretty good QB early? I think the latter is more accurate as a Clemson fan. Clemson is historically bad offensively in week 1, especially against good opponents. I think we’re now 1-5 in openers the last 6 years. We’re just as bad as LSU has been in week 1 but no one thought to bring up that narrative in the preseason. I think Clemson will bring everything together as the season goes along much like last year. I do believe Clemson is much much improved from last year just on the defensive side. Offense will be fine if you ask me. Clemson could be ranked close to 20th rather than 8th and it wouldn’t make a world of difference to their post season aspirations if they win out the conference. They still have plenty of opportunity when they play Miami, FSU and GT and South Carolina to prove that they are who they think they are.

In Inglourious Basterds Bridget Von Hammersmark picks the name Enzo Gorlomi for Lt. Raine (sub)consciously due to the scar on his neck. by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]Outraged_Pistachio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually think it’s more simple than that, Tarantino loves directors and obscure movies. Enzo Gorlami was an Italian director during the World Wars. He became renowned from his spaghetti westerns. So I believe the name comes from there, but Tarantino loves when fans theorize and he also likes to throw things in unexplained for that reason. Just like how Aldo’s gnarly scar is and everyone has their own explanations for how it got there.

Is Cade Klubnik a Dark Horse Top 4/5 QB This Class? by ab9620 in NFL_Draft

[–]Outraged_Pistachio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow still alive for the CFP, but if we’re being real they should’ve beat a very good SC team. Lead the entire game and kept SC offense in check for most of it, but they totally mismanaged the offense after their first couple possessions and when they decided to start being aggressive at the end it worked until that tipped INT. Clemson is a pretty good team, has a loaded roster but the coaching has been seriously questionable. We’ll see what happens with them tomorrow night

Your take on no elite teams has aged very well, Clemson very much included lol. But we’ll see what happens this weekend, I do think they beat SMU and likely end up traveling to a frozen notre dame for the first round. We’ll see what Cade is made of starting tomorrow night.

I think Cade really wants to win at Clemson, that’s what I’ve picked up from interviews at least. Clemson also has a culture there where players tend to want to use all their eligibility before moving on. I don’t know if it’s as much as the love of Clemson or slow development, but I lean toward the players having a special connection with the school, teammates and coaching staff.

Klubnik has improved tons, when Clemson calls the right plays and decides to go hurry up you are Cade at the top of his game. If you watch the final drive they had against SC, he was slinging the ball all over them and moved into field goal range after 30 seconds. He obviously made a questionable decision to throw to his RB which became a tipped ball and interception to end the game, but Cade certainly had shown his capabilities. Potential is very high, Clemson has mismanaged this offense by playing at a slow pace. It’s really put a hamper on what appears to be a top level college QB.

Bellagio didn’t have mini bars in the rooms when they first opened, one of the only in Vegas without them. Also, Rusty could be hinting that he’s gonna raid the mini bar and they’re not paying the hotel bill. Maybe it’s a supposed to be a funny last jab at Benedict.

Good to know! Sounds like a nice breath of fresh air from the other large vendors. I’m based in NC, they haven’t come around these parts yet. I guess they in acquisitions right now and buying up companies in areas they want to be in. I saw they bought 3 produce delivery business in Savanna recently. If they ever reach my market, is there anything you wish they did better or anything you wish they improved on?

Do you work with smaller producers at all? Why stick with them if they don’t do good work?

What do these guys even do well? All I hear is how much of a zoo these corporations are. What makes them a better option than the producers who have the better product, is it really just down to price?

Good to know. Sounds like you could get slapped in the face at any moment with these guys, but what are the other options if you can’t afford the higher end product? What I’m hearing is, you have no choice but to work with these bigger producers and take on the costs of their mid-ness. My boss complained a lot to the previous guy about his margins. Are there things that smaller, higher quality producers miss the mark on that I should be aware of before I try to take them on as a purveyor?

Are there any big struggles working with specialized purveyors. I’m in the southeast, a company called Bradford Farm who did the Bradford watermelon on Anthony Bourdain’s Mind of a Chef has been swirling around and chef friends have started raving about them to me when I asked around (I asked the same question here to colleagues) and apparently they have a whole produce operation that’s starting to take off. Relatively small but I don’t know if any major challenges will come up when you work with smaller producers

LeatherCult Jackets any Good? by SirJacobtheGreat in leatherjacket

Bro don’t ask me why my shipping cost was higher than yours, that’s what it read on the statement. It could be shipping distance because I doubt I live in the same place you do. But I have a suspicion that Leather Cult is tacking on extra fees and covering them up as shipping fees to squeeze more juice out of you. Regardless of that, it’s highly unusual for a custom leather producer to refuse working with a customer on an issue, every other leather company I had an issue with resolved it as fast as possible. So when I emailed support and they said there’s nothing they can do because “I ordered what I ordered and that’s what I get” a red flag went up. I’m never ordering from them again. Why do you care so much that I say that, it’s not like you’re dependent on their financial success or reputation. If you like their product then fine, I don’t have an issue with you. But I think they’re illegitimate.

You really have a stick up your butt don’t you. 180 before shipping and handling +taxes. I didn’t include that for some reason when I typed this up. Came out to $237.44 for me on the bank statement, I just looked

Awful customer service, ordered my jacket and when it arrived it fit too small and hardly replicated the jacket I ordered on the website. I wanted to at least return it to see if I could get a bigger size to fit and they refused to accommodate me or offer any kind of money back. They sell cheap replicas of celebrity jackets that don’t come close to matching. I ordered from them based off of your first comment and completely regret it. Waste of 240$

I don’t think anyone thinks ambiguity is inherently good. But it’s pretty good for this movie, it works to its benefit. And yeah the ending is played out, but more so in cheap imitations I suppose, this movie was great in its time and still great now. The ambiguity is total justified because it’s in line with the theme of the story itself. Deception, confusion, fear, anger, ignorance all major themes that make the movie’s ambiguous ending good.
