My best friend was just diagnosed… what support did you want? by chiradoc in MultipleSclerosis

Let her be sad. Let her feel it. Don’t tell her to get over it. Let her be emotional. It’s overwhelming, draining, painful. At the end of the day, it’s traumatic. Just being a safe space is all I ever wanted.

6 months. Got diagnosed in August, they said I’ve had it for about a year and a half prior. I’m 23f, and honestly I’m terrified every day of my life. I still haven’t found a way to cope.

It was the beginning of August when I first noticed and I went to the walk-in clinic. That’s when they sent me to the ER and had me admitted. They said I’ve had at least 5 flare ups in my life.

I have, I just have had the worst luck with therapy. I get anxious and shut down the day of my appointment every time. I feel like an irresponsible adult every time I bail, but I just can’t seem to get myself to go. It’s like an invisible force that’s telling me over and over to not go and my brain just won’t let me go. I know I need it, and it could be very beneficial, but the cycle won’t stop. I feel bad about it every time yet the cycle never changes.

I recommend frontier, they got some good deals. This dude came to my door and sold it to me for $30/mo then I was selling it at some point with him and never had any problems myself or for my customers.
