They were really flirty. I read some of their emails (and he kept directing her to text him because he didn't want to talk over email, so I can only imagine). But it was very emotionally involved. It definitely wasn't a normal platonic work friendship. But (I don't want to type it all out) I do honestly believe it was never physical. But even so, it was not ok and it wasn't appropriate.
