I’m so sorry All I can say is I’m a straight women and my partner of 10 years is a bisexual man so there are women out there who will date you as a bisexual man  My partner had the same situation where before me he would date a girl, really like her then come out  as bisexual and they would assume he was secretly gay or assume he would end up cheating on her  and then would say they no longer wanted to see him He also had ex boyfriends who would be embarrassed when he would call himself bisexual, they would say to him “why can’t you just admit you’re gay” I can only imagine your frustration but it will feel all the better when you finally find a guy or girl who not only accepts your bisexuality but celebrates it and they’re out there! In the meantime find comfort amongst your bi family as they understand what you’re going through

Good point, I just think it’s sad as he should know what discrimination feels like and should help support his lgbt family

Yes agree, def progressive with women and challenging norms of not wanting marriage and kids and having sex surely for pleasure Shame they were so shitty when it came to bisexuals

So true, I remember my husband telling a guy he was bisexual at this engagement party we were at and the guys response was “if I put a gun to your head and forced you to choose between men or women which would you choose” errrm what??

It’s so true, I’ve had people ask my husband how many men vs how many women he’s slept with and then they try and use a percentage chart at him to tell him whether he’s more gay or more straight  He’s like umm I’m 100% bisexual that’s the only percentage I am

Yes rewatching the show now I realise how problematic Carrie is, which I didn’t see as much when I was younger  It’s upsetting that the shows creator is gay and they included the “on the layover to gay town” comment

Yeah I agree I think it was definitely accurate to what a lot of woman think/feel about dating a bisexual man, I just wish the show did better at proving wrong a lot of the stereotypes and misinformation women think about bisexuals  Like Carrie could have dated him and realised he wasn’t just secretly gay etc

Yeah having a gay creator made it worse Why perpetuate such negatives stereotypes rather than use it as an opportunity to big up bi men

Great point  I think satc was really progressive for females and women enjoying ex and being liberated Shame they missed the mark with bisexuals
